KD to GSW... I hate those guys

Either way, KD is leaving the best team I might have ever seen a star abandon to chase a title. This is unprecedented. We have never seen this before.

This. A hundred times this. I mean, this isn't Kevin Garnett leaving a 32-50 Wolves team at the age of 31 to try and win a ring. Or a 32-year old Drexler asking to be traded from a 25-20 Blazers team to try and win a championship with Hakeem. This is a 27-year old superstar 2 years removed from winning the MVP leaving what is on the evidence of this year's playoffs the third best team in the league because they're not good enough. The third ****ing best team! This is WWE-level ridiculousness. This isn't "I want out because my team is bad." This is "I want out because my team is not the absolute best."

Remember, this team was 10 minutes from playing in the Finals, people.

I hope the Warriors will be worse than we think but I don't think they will. The difference between them and other such goliath rosters that underperformed are:
1) SPACING/SHOOTING
2) Unselfish players
3) players in their primes.

And they got Zaza, the 2nd dirtiest big man next to Bogut.

First of all...just WOW!!! Jerry West does it again. I find it funny how people are trashing GS and Durant for using the system in place. KD has every right to pick a new team. He is getting less money for a better opportunity to win a championship. I am sure if KD were coming to the Jazz, Jazz fans wouldn't be thrashing the organization.

This situation is not like Malone and the Lakers. Malone was like 39 years old when he went to the Lakers. I have no doubt if Kobe had kept his pants up and Malone hadn't got hurt then Malone and the Lakers would have been champions.

It is a bummer for OKC but hey I don't feel too bad for them. They stole their franchise so Karma sucks. I believe Jazz have a legitimate shot at winning the division. GS is going to be incredible to watch.

I'm trashing him because I've never seen a great player like that go to a historically great team.

It's bizarre to me. It would have been like seeing Hakeem join the Bulls in 92 or Karl joining the Bulls in 97. It's not that there's anything unethical or against the rules for it, it's just that typically great players want to be the man on their team. Not join a team that held the regular season record for wins and has a 2x MVP on their team.

Durant joining the Jazz would be far different. Here he would be the man.

For the record, I don't begrudge the Warriors or Durant. They'd both be stupid to not pursue something like this. The problem I have is with Cuban and the ****ing Mavericks facilitating it.

The whole point is who Lebron joined up with. Wade didnt just have one great year. He was a top5 player. Who had already won a ring and a finals MVP.

Lebron still bailed for a beter chance to win rings. He actually did it twice when he went to the Cavs. He wouldnt have went back there if they didnt have Kyrie and Wiggins to bargain with. People want to make him out to be a good guy for going back, but he essentially did the same thing again. He knew Wade was falling off. So he bailed. He knew Kyrie was a good player to team up with.

Durant is just smart enough to see that if he wants to win he has to out Lebron Lebron.

LeBron got trashed for The Decision too. Even after he won rings there. He was still getting trashed up until a month ago.

They won't win more than 73. And LeBron will eat their souls in the finals again.

I hope so. The Warriors now have skyrocketed to one of the teams I detest the most in NBA history, though oddly enough not because of anything they did.

I'm not sure I concede this point without deeper consideration.

Besides star power, what strengths would Karl bring to the table? Remember; he was given the ball by some silly point guard a lot. I don't recall the triangle offense does not really highlight the PF position.

Yeah, I imagine a coach would adjust their offense a bit to utilize a guy who made 8 (to that point) straight all NBA First teams.

I agree but adding Bosh to the equation narrows that field. Durant pulled a LeBron. He just did it better.

It's not that different.

It's completely different. There were never any guarantees in Miami like people acted there were. They went there to build something new and nobody knows how team chemistry, fit of support players, etc. are going to work out. Joining a championship team that just set a league record for most wins in a season is a different animal altogether. Durant could sit out the season altogether and still end up with a ring. It's not even close to the same thing.

I didnt trash Lebron either. I think people just make too big of a deal about these things. Also, dont want to look at it from other perspectives. Nowadays, players cant win no matter what path they take. The goal is to win championships. This is the best way for Durant to do that. No one can argue with that. So everything else is just nonsense and just haterism. This is the smartest move from his perspective. Just like it was for Lebron too.

Lol at Lebron going back to Cleveland being the same thing at KD coattailing onto a championship team. What a load of trash.

In all honesty, while the Jazz were deciding to build their team "the Spurs Way", the Warriors decided to go out and build their team like Miami did. Put two superstars together with as much talent as possible and see how far it can get you. Seems like a damn good plan if you can attract the stars. I will say, though, that the Spurs BEAT those same "Big Three" for a championship. The key is going to be building the best defensive team possible and grinding the Dubs to death. Rudy and Dante both need to break out for the Jazz to end up being contenders.

New Vegas odds came out

OKC is is favored to be better then JaZZ STill

Jazz are tied with Houston at 200 to 1 odds to win it all and they are teams 21 and team 22 total..
So Vegas has Utah at around 20th best team in nba, But wait this cannot be true because from reading around here I thought Utah was a team that was going be around 10-15th bets of all bball...
So reality is the Experts and most media will aknowledge Jazz have some good young pieces but they are still not a playoff team..
Also don't give me that crap Vegas doesn't know, Truth is no one knows at this moment and it is why they play the game but these guys do it for a living so they carry more weight then some Hoped up Jazz fan on Jazzfanz.

I get the whole building like the Spurs but the Spurs also had Timmy, A guy you could build around.
Jazz have no such player at this point. Jazz remind me of that Nuggets team, The one after Melo left. Made playoffs and were deep. Had a good bench but lacked a superstar.. If Wade ends up in Denver ill be penciling in Denver with a better record then the Jazz, It could be possible the Jazz finish last in the division. GOing be a tough divison. That much I do know. SOme solid teams and Minny has the blueprints for a team that is going to compete. Thibs easily best coach in thew Division.

The only way people won't be mad at you is if you win with the team you were drafted by.

Wow ye crybaby. Yes it is the Mavs fault. Think everyone just supposed to say No we will not help you build your roster byu taking some solid players off your hands.

You are totally the guy at the basketball court that Crys that the teams are not fair and instead of going out to compete you leave with your ball. Because usually these types are the ones with the best ball... You are a sissy dude straight up. You are soft just like Durant

Yes Vegas agrees with you that your team is special.. Your one spot above the nuggets and if the nuggets get Wade then they will be leapfrogging the sorry Jazz

Wow. Could not have said it better

So, Jordan would never have left the Bulls in the 80's to join the Celtics or Pistons because he couldn't beat them in the playoffs. That's what I love about Jordan. I feel like Durant is taking an easy road and setting a reasonably subversive precedent.
