Utah Jazz Summer League Topic

Looks like we are playing the regular Spurs with all these 3 balls

I think Tyrone Wallace is going to play well. If he improves his shot he could be a surprise, much like Matthews was. Perhaps called up from the D-League at some point.

Lyles really needs to improve his handle if he wants to handle the ball on the perimeter more.

Lyles looks decent with the rebound-and-go. His playmaking seems a bit out of control, but part of that is who he's playing with.

Well, if we are looking for that diamond who can shoot the 3, we ain't finding him in summer league -- at least not wearing a Jazz uni.

So are we losing big? Was important to win. Now it's almost certain we ain't getting home court. How come Utah always has such ****ty SL teams? Even when we had roster spots to fill, Jazz could never get decent players.

Other than Lyles, there are glimpses of hope for Olivier Hanlan, Joel Bolomboy and maybe Tyrone Wallace, but most of these guys don't look like NBA players right now.

Lyles looks a smidge more toned and a bit more confident. He pulls the ball off the rim well and can push the ball with his dribble. He telegraphs his passes though and makes mostly basic plays. It looks like his base is a bit stronger and he's willing to try a few moves driving baseline or mix it up a bit in the paint. His shot was coming off long on most of his attempts, same with his free-throws.

He needs a spin move to finish after he beats the initial man off the dribble. He always goes straight into that help defender and its usually a non call / miss at the rim.
