Great pick. Absolute steal at this point.

I think pg is the deepest position. Still many good ones left that I would consider steals. I guess it's probably because there is only one pg on the court but wings and bigs are kind of interchangeable so once a poster drafts a pg they don't need to again for quite a while.

I don't really have a good answer. I did it a while ago and just didn't really enjoy it much.
I'm glad you guys do it though. I like the voting and being a spectator.

Slow going today eh boys?

White Chocolate agrees to trade #67, #110 and #113 to Ellis269 for #81, #88 and #105.

Ellis269 is on the clock and Cunning Linguist is on deck.

(Big shoutout to Addictionary. I essentially stole his write up about Sabonis because it's better than anything I could have come up with. I'll rep that post now that my pick is made.)

C: Arvydas Sabonis

Cold War is a theme of the past for some, bitter and thrilling, yet buckle pulling memories for others. If it wasn't for it, if there wasn't a full scale (hell even existantialistic) competition between USA and the USSR, America might have been able to watch more of one of the greatest centers ever to play basketball.

Sabonis is a legend, not only because of his size, but his relatively unmatchable BBIQ. He was a 7-3 long guy from Lithuania, and weighted 279 lbs. Because of political restraints, he couldn't come start playing in the NBA from the year he drafted 1986 to 1995. He made an NBA career in Blazers, but had some even more major one across the Atlantic. He was the center of the famous Olympics Final game between the two giant rival countries.

He joined Lithuanian junior team at the age of 15 and joined the USSR NT in 17!

This was the guy playing center you would need on your team with the combination of his giant size that he used effectively, great balance for his size and his great intelligence, quick thinking and acting for the team play.

Thank you very much for this reference Ellis.

I gave my heart to that draft and really cared for who I picked, made my deep research and drafted a team that I wouldn't draft with my limited knowledge (limited compared to the history of basketball), and the Sabonis pick was a major part of that influential experience. But in the end my team was unfortunately looked to old for the voters, hell most of my players were probably unknown to many, so when they saw players they knew that were active after 2000's they just picked them instead of mine. Definitely was a down feeling for me to drop out so quickly, but seeing this here makes me feel like it was worth it because at least one certain fellow basketball adorer like yourself can dig it up to make me relive the moment.

Thank you.
