What's new

Have you ever drank a handle?

Honestly, the toughest part of it becomes the sweetness of all the Coke. It makes me want to puke after about a good 8-12 large (20 oz. or so) Captain n Cokes. If I ever try to do it again, I'll probably try to swig a shot, here or there, right from the bottle, to cut back on the Coke intake.

Maybe I'll try it this summer once. I'll sleep in til about 8, eat a little, go for a nice run around 9 to really wake myself up, shower, and then start drinking around 10am. I could go for one big 20 ouncer every hour, with a good swig of Captain followed by food every two hours to get some more Captain down but more importantly, something in me and the sweetness out of my mouth.

You gotta plan this **** out. I may literally even weigh how much Captain I put into each drink so that I pace myself perfectly.

Are you over 300 lbs? I can easily knock out a 30 case any day of the week. There is no way I could handle a handle so I'm wondering if it is a size thing.

I also need to start lifting and running more. When I'm in good or even better, great, shape, I can consume way more alcohol. I don't get tired as easily. I am more upbeat and excited and having a great time and therefore am pumped as I see the consumption taking place.

Also, it's a 30-pack. Not a 30 case. A case is 24 beers. 30 cans is called a 30-pack. Novice.

Going out for a long run with some walking mixed in now. **** it. Let the training begin!!! (I've also watched the first 56 out of the 86 total episodes in The Sopranos over the last couple weeks so that's a nice base for my training.

Long for me is like 3 miles btw.

I couldn't even come close to 30 beers. Maybe only half that

Damn. That's some pounding for a young kid.
I don't know if it's because of faster metabolism, the fact that I was always high on some sort of drugs increasing my tolerance for alcohol, or that I just gave less ****s about anything back then but when I was right around 20 years old I could drink more than at any other point in my life.
And I was way skinny back then too. (6 foot 3 and probably about 175 lbs)

I think we should have a challenge for the first game of the season. Any time Boler says "Houdini", "Buckle Up" "Jazz Nation" or any mention of McDonald's or fry sauce, we each take a shot. If the Jazz lose, you take five more shots. Whoever is the most coherent on the message board after wins. For those serious drinkers, we can add drinks for any reference to Duncan, knee injuries or rule changes.

Great idea.

I probably can't pull this off because of school. Unless I perhaps give a test...or show a movie the next day!

You can do it. I once went on a bender until 8 am before a work event while traveling. Just staple your eyelids open. :)

You've never heard of Captain and Coke?

Of course, but from my experience that is what people who don't actually drink choose to drink.

Not even hating, I was just surprised a heavy drinker would mix with coke instead of making a legit cocktail or drinking it straight. But I think you should drink it however you enjoy it.
