Call Your Shot (Presidential Race)

I know it's trendy to say that both candidates are equally bad, but they really aren't. Far from it. It's hard to be enthusiastic about a Clinton presidency, but I'd take her any day over that narcissistic ignoramus Donald Trump.

I'm a little lost. Spell it out for me.
I get the senate ratification process, but what does your post imply?

I sincerely don't knows.
Orin Hatch refused to bring the nomination forward and start the confirmation process. I guess he thinks a President is a year away form no longer has the authority to nominate SCJs. Then he released a statement that he met with the nominee and decided not start confirmation when that meeting got cancelled, so it was obvious his statement was prepared before the meeting was supposed to take place and he was never going to let Obama get his nominee on the court.

The breakdown of the US political system.

Ahh.. I had forgotten about that already.

Thanks for spelling it out.

Did you literally just blame Bush for made up nonsense then claim we should forgive Hillary (because she represents your values)? You know Bush apologized to right? Why if you are so unbias as you claim wanting others to be you contradict like this?

Yes I blame Bush for the Iraq war much more than Hillary Clinton. He asked for more power and to go to war and used that power to drop missiles on Iraq as a pre-emptive strike. Bush to my knowledge still thinks going into Iraq was a good decision.

Do you think Clinton and Bush are equal to blame for the Iraq war during Bush's time as president?

Do you think Clinton and Bush are equal to blame for the Iraq ward during Bush's time as president?

Bet that's a blast

Karma for not considering the current nominee. Pretty despicable in my opinion.

not really

the constituents care about the supreme court

the congressmen care about their constituents showing up to vote for them

the congressmen are going to get what they wanted out of this

Lets take a quiz and see if you agree with Clinton on Iraq policy or not.

1. Did you vote for Bush?

Clinton did not

2. Would you have voted to give Bush more power to make quick decisions (so that if something happened it wouldnt take months to pass a bill to do something like it can in the senate) in what seemed at the time like a very tense situation with Iraq supposedly building Nukes and not letting anyone it?

Clinton did vote for this and regretted it. At the time Clinton thought she was making the right decision and the Bush would do what he said he would. Clinton and many others including Republicans feel bush misused the power given to him. Bush pubilcally and privately told people his plan and insisted he would send inspectors in and not do anything until getting a full accurate report back before sending any troops in. Clinton regrets trusting him but many still think it was the right decision to allow the president to make a quick decision in this situation. There is a lot to this vote and issue but its not a black and white issue. There is a lot to it. It was the wrong decision but I understand why most senators voted for giving Bush the extra power.

3. Would you have voted for the preemptive strike against Iraq? This is what actually started the war and the fighting.

Clinton was strongly against this.

4. In 2007 there was a vote to commit 100 million dollars to keep funding troops in Iraq how would you have voted?

Hillary voted against this bill despite many people claiming it would hurt her chance of becoming president.

5. When we decided to pull troops out of Iraq there was an option to leave some troops only for counter terrorism. To keep tabs and info on the growing known terrorist groups. How would you vote?

Clinton was vocally in favor and urged us to do that. We did not.

So do you disagree with all or most of her decisions about the Iraq war?

OH right, your brother hit your sister last year and I didn't punish him enough. You're 100% right. Then by all means, continue hitting your sister.

I don't care who does it. Do you know I'm not a democrat?
I'm not criticizing you for your opinion of this decision. I'm simply pointing out that this is how politics works. In the current situation the Republicans have the ability to prevent an Obama nominee so it does not surprise me that they have decided to do it. It will also not surprise me if their decision bites them in the butt.

I'm not their parent. They are politicians who have to answer to those who elect them. It doesn't surprise me that in the current situation the Republicans decided that they'd rather hear some criticism from liberals than anger those who voted for them by making the court more liberal when a different strategy was available. They're playing with fire, though. If Hillary gets elected they will wish they had confirmed Garland when they had a chance.

Then Hillary will take most of what money you have and give it t Cy, Siro, Gameface,Crappy Smurfet, Da Thrilla, CL, and many others here.

Hillary Clinton - Making The Poor Great Again.

Still crying about me calling you a piece of ****?
