What Year does the first Championship come to the Jazz?

No it's not.
There are 30 teams all trying to find some way to eventually win a Championship and there's only one team that can do it a year. This championship or bust mentality is going to fail for 29 teams every year.
That line of thinking stops teams from building strong teams and letting them grow into championship calibre teams over time.
Even if every single thing the Jazz do is the best possible thing they could have done it doesn't guarantee a championship, ever.

Gobert is the closest thing we have to a star that we have on the team currently. He's not the one you move in exchange for a star. He's one you keep to team with a star.
No. That's not okay. At all. The point is too win championships.
Our chances in the next 5 years or so depends on decisions made in the next 12 months. DL has done a great job in the talent acquisition faze of this rebuild. The foundation for a championship has been laid. Now comes the big part, finding a star to carry the foundation to the next level. Until that star is found DL must keep assets without giving up financial flexibility. If he pays the max for Hayward and Gobert we won't win a title with this group and we'll be rebuilding in 5 years because we'll lose other pieces of the core and all financial flexibility. If he moves Hayward for assets and keeps Gobert I have hope for a title in the next 5-8 years. We'll be able to keep the bulk of our core and flexibility to find a star player via the draft, free agency or trade.
I want to be clear about what I'm saying. The Jazz should be doing absolutely everything in their power to win a championship. The point of competing is the struggle to win. So obviously, to compete one's goal must be to win the championship.
The Jazz might compete, they might put everything they have into winning a championship, and they might fail. I hope that's not the case, but reality is that it very well might be. And I'm okay with that. The FO can't snap their fingers and order up a championship.
But I want to witness the journey regardless. I want to go along for the ride. If it doesn't end with a championship I'll be disappointed, but I'm still gonna try hard to have fun along the way.

You TRY to win championships. Period. An attitude of "only one 1 team wins and 29 fail, so let's just be okay being a decent team" is a loser mentality. Failing happens, but not trying is the real failure.
