What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

First, repped Archie for that one...very nice.

Second, one of the worst movies I have ever seen for writing was Armageddon. They completely lost me at the line "get me the best oil drillers in the world!" Really? I mean we all know who they are, they are like household names. These guys are like rock stars, with groupies and everything. I imagine they just watched the most recent "Best Oil Drillers" competition that beat out the Superbowl for TV ratings to pick who to bring on the trip with them.\

And this quote really sums up the whole movie:

It's like the Firecracker analogy.
A firecracker in the open hand, will burn you, but a firecracker in a closed hand will blow your hand off.

You need oil drillers when dealing with firecrackers.

dumbass

jk

Saw "Red" and was expecting a bit more of a over the top dumb action movie then it was, don't get me wrong it was an over the top action movie in parts but it also had more of a story then I thought it would, it was worth watching if you like action movies IMO.

I also saw "Machete" and it is what I thought it was a way over top in a funny way action movie, and boy howdie it had some unexpected T&A for that a lone it was worth the watch.

I'm pretty sure that's a reality show on TLC.

That's sounds more like a Discovery show than a TLC show.

I don't know it has the word "drill" in it, maybe for the double entendre it would run on MTV.

MTV The Real World Drills a New Hole.

hilarious documentary of the winnebago guy from youtube. search it you are not familiar, warn you it's far from being JF friendly

I find anything at all with Michael Moore's name on it to be highly suspect.

watched the documentary INSIDE JOB last night - a very well put together film, it did a very good job saying what it wanted to say

I watched "Machete" this weekend and loved it. It was exactly what I had hoped "The Expendables" would be. Over the top, humorous, and fun. Plus it had bewbs.

I saw Grownups with Adam Sandler over the weekend. I didn't expect much, but it was better than I thought it would be. Not as good as the Wedding Singer, but pretty funny.

Went and saw The Lincoln Lawyer last friday. It wasn't bad but I'm not sure that it is theater worthy. I could have waited for DVD. Typical Grishamesque type thriller.

I Red Box(ed?) Devil and Winter's Bone over the weekend. I was entertained by Devil, but I would do no more then Red Box it and watch it once. Winter's Bone, on the other hand, I found fantastic. Uncle Teardrop is quite the anti-hero.

Watched it on Thursday. Thought it definitely did not deserve the Oscar.

It's the only one of the nominated documentaries I've seen so I have no opinion one way or the other. Which do you think was more deserving?

over the weekend I also watched an old Tarantino movie I'd never seen before, True Romance - it was great!
