Rumor: Jazz and DeMarcus Cousins

I love Cousins. He has added dysfunction to a dysfunctional organization my favorite team competes with.

If the Jazz acquired Cousins I would miraculously stop hating him and start loving him.

He has the tools and the talent. If anybody could coax the mental part out of him it would be someone like Quin Snyder/Brad Stevens I believe.

I might. But his mannerisms on the court really drive me crazy. He'd have a lot of maturing to do for me to ever love him, even if he was on the Jazz.
.
FWIW I might also stop watching the Jazz as often due to his mannerisms driving me crazy. I actively avoid watching Jazz/Kings games because all I route for all game is for somebody to punch that whinny bitch in the face.

Sports isn't a logical thing.
Embrace him bringing out the emotions in you.
Makes **** fun.

His actions ruin the game for me. It takes away from the enjoyment of the game for me.

Also it would not fun to actively wish the other team would punch one of the players on your team in the face. Believe me as a Broncos fan I really hated Bill Romanowski and it pained me to laugh at his dumb *** every time somebody clocked him or made him look foolish. But I still laughed because I hated the guy, even when on "my" team.

That's even worse. I never get the satisfaction of watching it. All that voting for something and never get to see it happen. FWIW it doesn't have to be a punch....Just an accidental/on purpose elbow to the nose would suffice once in a while. :)

Despite the fact that I don't believe his attitude would fit here, I would be onboard with the Jazz taking the risk to acquire him. Depending on the price.

I haven't read hardly any posts in this thread. I am just blown away that it is still going. Cousins is a beast. No doubt. But you know what you get with him. Character has to be present throughout an organization to consider bringing him on. LOTS of character. If Demarcus comes calling to the Spurs, I don't know if they would take him now that Duncan is gone. The Pistons turned thugs into players. Boston did the bad boy approach as well. It can work, but we are NOT going that route and starting to now would be a mistake.

Move on folks. Let this thread die already. It ain't happening. Different philosophy. Wrong player for our system...

I don't think it was ever going to happen, just debating whether it would be a good thing or not. I love Cousins talents but his whining is an issue. I haven't really seen any teammates coming to his aide either. However, I would think a lot his whining has to do with his frustration with losing and his organization inability to have any kind of plan to change things there. I think the firing of Coach Malone was the last straw with Cousins, he seemed to be trusting him and the team played well for a short time but then they fired him after one year. More instability and more frustration leads to more whining.

I would trade Favors/Burks and a 1st round pick and some second picks for him. This is only after Quinn and Dennis had a chance to meet with him to see if they could develop a relationship and he understood our culture and plan. Personally, I don't think Sacramento is going to trade him unless they get a huge offer. Talent alone, it is a no-brainer.

I find it unfair & illogical to condemn/categorize someone for exhibiting qualities (as alarming & disruptive as they may be) based on actions displayed in a singular situation, which is clearly not conducive to that of a winning atmosphere. Especially when he has an (albeit limited) sample size of contributing to a very successful team in college.

This isn't a way of dismissing his behavior/actions buts it's not as if Cousins has had multiple opportunities to turn things around. Also, doing so, ignores the fact that he wouldn't be the first player to turn things around given a fresh start (ie: R.Wallace, D.Rodman, etc- although those were admittedly far different scenarios).

Cousins coming to Utah is not going to happen, but to not even consider the opportunity if it were in fact a possibility is extremely close minded & short-sighted IMO. I understand the concerns regarding fit, chemistry, etc, but this is exactly the type of risk small-market teams such as Utah have to be willing to take if they are ever going to have a chance at legitimately contending as the opportunity to acquire his type of generational talent clearly no longer seems to be a possibility to do so thru the draft as the team appears too good to secure a top 3 draft pick outside of pulling of a blockbuster trade.

Again, it's not happening, but I find it surprising that there are people who wouldn't even consider trading for one of the most talented players in the entire NBA, flaws & all. Cousins isn't the ideal player to build around, but in the right situation, could absolutely contribute to a championship contending team (whi H is the elite type of player that this team currently lacks).

What ion hell happen here this thread keep goes? What? I know this is so matermind from the best Mr. Jones who has succsfull made thread 10 pages to long for billionth time. Mastermind of brilliance Dr. Jone!

Kings would never trade him. Cousins is a star so they already have a better chance at winning a title than the Jazz for the foreseeable future. They would be a stupid team to wanna trade a star for no stars. Their title odds would go to 0.

Well they are a stupid team so it works out. I think they will trade him eventually. Or he will walk in free agency and they will get nothing for him. He doesn't want to be there.
