I just looked at Mississippi St's OOC schedule. Are you guys ready for this? I mean, I'm sure this is a typo. This can't be real. Especially considering how much crap Dennis from It's Always Sunny gives everyone around here. But, and again, I'm sure I'm wrong with this, but, here it is:

Cy - you do realize that an OOC schedule like that is made by an AD/HC that is afraid they won't go bowling, correct? That OOC is made by a coward.

Why would anyone schedule a tough OOC schedule when you have to play Alabama and LSU every year? If you beat those teams, you are a top 10 team no question and likely in the top 4. Sorry PAC-12 is so sorry their coaches feel the need to schedule one harder OOC game (every team has 3 softballs every year on the OOC, even Utah).
 
And last time I checked BYU was 9-4 last year with a rookie QB, so us scheduling a road game to go play them is far from "cowardly".

Oh yeah and that BYU team almost beat a Utah team last year who had "the best qb in the nation" per some poster on jazzfanz.

Second, How did BYU "almost" beat Utah? Don't you have to have a chance to tie the game before you can almost do anything?

No, you just have to within a score of winning the game. They were down 7 points. You might not know this, but you can score up to 8 points from a touchdown if you do a 2 point conversion.
 
It's fans like green that make me dislike the U more and more. Then guys like lefty and jazzman12 kinda bring me back...js.

If you wanna be the guy that talks **** on Utah, only to turn around and pump up a BYU team that Utah has owned for the last decade, just because BYU is the one OOC game on your schedule that you can even argue is redeemable, go right ahead.

I think for the FIRST time in my life, I'm gonna root for BYU when they play you guys. It will be funny as hell when they beat your *** and you guys go 5-7. But hey, maybe there won't be enough 6 win teams to fill the 200 bowl games so you guys can sneak in an invite anyway.

Ya lefty and jazzman aren't bad. Even green can be ok to talk local college football with every once in a while. He is better than he used to be.
I hope that we can all just try to be unbias as possible and even occassionally complimentary of our rivals going forward.
I always try to be respectful and unbias when talking utes sports and sure its hard but hopefully it rubs off on others.

Don't you have to have possession of the ball to score? Has there ever been a point scored in football without possession of the ball?

So, even though BYU scored to get within 7, at what point after that did BYU have possession of the ball so they could have an opportunity to score?

You are acting like possession can't change on a single play. Dude get real. Utah almost lost to BYU.

Calling a BYU road game on your schedule a soft or easy game is completely false.

Im not pumping up BYU, I'm just stating facts that they where within a score of beating Utah and they arent a soft schedule opponent.

And have fun rooting for BYU. You probably use to rooting for the losing team being a Utah fan.
 
I was just watching the sports part of the local news and they were interviewing whitt. I really like him a lot.
Ya'll are lucky to have him.
