Jazz players in the Olympics

US barely gets by Serbia. Jokic with a big game. By the way proof that you do not have to be a great athlete to be a good basketball player. Jazz FO what were you thinking? Former Jazz man Motum with 15 points today.

Yeah you just got to be a giant with a huge wingspan.

So are you saying that is the only reason he is good because of a decent wingspan? Cousins and Jordan's wingspan are 3 inches longer than Jokic.
Um saying if you aren't a great athlete you need good size.

Neto's Brazil in big trouble, but a chance they could still move on. Neto not very good today. Old farts and Campazzo of Argentina can still play.

Neto was pretty bad today. His outside shot wasn't going and his inability to finish around the hoop was on display. Not really seeing any progress on anything but his tattoo count and tan.

Jokic for Gobert straight up. Would ya (be honest)?

Probably would.

Jokic vs. Cousins rookie year stats (both at age 20 -- see here): Jokic better across the board than Cousins except for scoring & blocks (though close on both). Though both on bad teams, Jokic's win shares were 6.7 vs. Cousins's 1.1 as rookie.

If you'd lean toward Cousins over Gobert, then Jokic over Gobert has to be a no-brainer.

I agree. He looked completely lost most of the time.

Make sure you vote for the team that took Jokic in the Jazzfanz Current Players draft.

I really hate that Gobert is in Rio. How long will this process and all these games have been at the end of it? Four weeks? Five? More? Sorry, that's lot of time he could be spending with coaches to work on his game. I highly doubt his French coaches are doing that. My gut tells me he'll be no better on offense and still very good on defense. So in essence, zero improvement.

This, absolutely. Doing nothing for progressing his game. And they're not gonna get anywhere so he's not going to even get the experience of playing in huge games.

Total waste.
