And I agree we need to make a team that a super-star would want to join, but unless that is the target I don't see much this season to wet my panties over. Modest improvements are nice and all, we can win a few more games and maybe get to the playoffs. But that will be about it. And that is the status-quo I was referring to. Maybe a cycle is a better term. We put together a group of scrappy youngsters, they get everyone excited, they go nowhere, we add some "vets" with "play-off experience", they again go nowhere. Our scrappy youngsters become too expensive (e.g. Milsap and Jefferson together) and we either let them go or we make trades for picks. Then we put together a new group of scrappy youngsters and get excited. Wash and repeat.

We should all change our names to something along the lines of rinse and repeat, Jazz_Mediocrity, WeJustWantPlayoffsNow, and Blow_It_Up_Already.
 
So, uh sorry to interrupt, but I was just wondering if they ever released the details of the Bolomboy contract?

Let me say this... the one check mark we did not necessarily check off this offsets on is TOUGHNESS. The jazz didn't get an enforcer. Zaza tough. Booker tough. Stick this in your ear G Hayward you white Peeeyachhh Delonte west tougher. (Ha ha ha. Auto correct on my phone changed delonte into felony. It knew!)

I am afraid that we actually got a bit softer as far as enforcers go. We probably gained some mental toughness to close out games. Rudy and perhaps Bolomboy are our two toughest dudes at this point and Bolomboy isn't guaranteed as far as I can tell.

Other than that, I am thrilled with the progress of the team and I see no reason for the doom and gloom on the board. We aren't going to beat the Warriors or Cleveland for the championship no matter who we picked up this year. Period. We are building something and this year will represent plenty of redemption... YO
