Earlier today, kiri.de.carlos liked one of my old posts. It got me on a tour down memory lane, and I realized...jesucristo we used to have it good. We used to have Jarron Collins on our team. He never should have set foot on the basketball court, but his wisdom-beyond-his-years know-how, his devilish good looks, and ability to make himself at once completely invisible on the court and in the locker room yet seemingly indispensible in a (Saint) Jerry Sloan hard-nosed line-up landed him a roster spot he maintained for years. He was great.

There are countless images the internet has stored for us. Thank JC for this day, without Him we would be lost in this life. I'm stuck in the San Juan airport and I paid for eight hours of Wi-Fi, so I figured what a better time than now to share His love with you. What are your favorite Jazz players from the past, and how have they changed your life the way JC has for me?

Collins looked really promising his first year. It was a shame he got hurt, he was never the same.

His athleticism was seriously lacking, but he was always knew the plays and was in position. I can remember him screening and holding two guys on the baseline. Not a flashy guy, but his ability to box out, make the correct play, and do some of the little unnoticed things kept him in the league longer than I thought.

The most amazing accomplishment that I have ever seen is how former Jazzman David Benoit ACTUALLY was nominated for 3 Grammy awards for playing Jazz Music. I don't understand how this isn't talked about more. Simply Outstanding!

The most amazing accomplishment that I have ever seen is how former Jazzman David Benoit ACTUALLY was nominated for 3 Grammy awards for playing Jazz Music. I don't understand how this isn't talked about more. Simply Outstanding!

I think what's even more amazing is how he miraculously tranformed himself from a 6'8" black man into a 63 year old, 5'10" white guy? How'd he do that?

Again, like I've said on the "minimal accomplishments for the Jazz" thread, as Jazz's season draws near, I expect many more posters to make a comeback. Why not ECTYA?.. Why not MK11?.. Why not jazzyapma?.. Why not Tarkanian?... Why not Çakar?..

The Delta center lighting will easily add nine inches to you from those looking from the 10th row back. I once stood next to John Stockton without his stage makeup and he was 4 foot three in shoes. True Story! Most of his fancy passes were Leprechaun magic.

He had a brutal childhood being raised by the Fratellis. Fortunately, with the friendship he made with Chunk and the basketball training he was able to acquire paid for by the Pirate ship loot, he was able to make something of himself, before his injury (which eventually turned into Hayward.)
