Depends on how good you are IMHO. Look at how often Andre Iguodala gets away with (more or less) clean strips? It's not just a crap shot, even though the refs will get it wrong from time to time.

Malone got the benefit of the doubt as well. Established players with reputations usually get the benefit of the doubt. In most cases, I bet Crawford would usually get the benefit of the call over Exum as Exum isn't established. It was lucky in that respect that Exum didn't get called for a foul with the way refs call games. Even though luck was involved, still doesn't diminish what Exum did.

I mean how ridiculous is this? For how long will players keep getting injured? Media day: Full roster. The season is not started yet: Already leaves falling to the ground. I wish I had the job security level of Jazz fitness and condition staff. Nah don't listen to me. I'm sure they're doing fine.

Why don't any of you stats geeks form up a list of the teams sorted by getting affected the most by injuries in rolling trend? At least there would finally be a statline that would make sense.

Exum wasn't injured, Hood isn't injured. Favors and Burks will be fine and play the regular season. Only real injury is Hayward.

It's preseason and it's about looking at Withey, C. Johnson, Bolomboy, Neto and Mack. It's about getting J. Johnson, Diaw and Hill burn under Snyder. About letting Exum get comfortable.

Hood, Hayward, Favors and Burks are safe. let them rest up fully for when the games matter.

Sure it couldn't hurt. But it's not critical IMO. Hood, Hayward. Favors and Burks have played together for 3 through 7 years now. It would help some integrating people like Hill into the mix.

But I'm not worried about the teams health. Not yet at least.

Exum's a fantastic defender.

If and when we end up in situations in the regular season where we need a stop to win or to send the game to OT, Exum should be on the court.

Exactly...which is why I don't think "luck" was involved. Exum has alway been a fantastic defender from day 1. If we're talking about James Harden or Carlos Boozer making that play, then yeah, 100% luck.
