It's going to be a good month or so for albums, and the concert line up for Utahr is getting stronger and stronger every week. So here's a thread to post your inner most musical feelings.

Last week we had a new album from Rise Against "Endgame". I really enjoyed it, but it seemed more "poppish" then Rise Against previous albums.

Rated: 3/5, another point could be added depending on re-playability

This one hasn't been released yet, but I got the leak. and so far this has probably been the most rewarding album to listen to since Kanye's Twisted Fantasy, and for me the best rock album since Pearl Jam and Backspacer.

The Strokes don't disappoint
5/5

Next to listen for me on the album docket
Panic at the Disco
Green Day's new live album

As for my concert schedule... I'll probably be hitting MCR next month on the 8th along with Rise Against and Bad Religion on the 14th at Saltair.

But Utah is looking for a strong summer concert with such names as (so far)
U2 w/ The Fray
Iron and Wine
Arcade Fire
Katy Perry
Owl City
Journey w/ Foreigner

Moved to General Discussion.

Saw Girl Talk on Friday in Oakland. I will be picking confetti off of various parts of my body for a month.

Next concert will be Lollapalooza Chile in Santiago on April 2nd and 3rd. Performers we're excited about at the show include Kanye, The Killers, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Flaming Lips, the National, Fatboy Slim, and Cold War Kids.

U2 is my next concert since I've turned into my dad and don't want to drive to (and from) Orem for Arcade Fire.

I saw the Young Dubliners at the Depot on the 12th. Great show and great venue for a show like that. My only drawback was that I was lied to by the bartender and told that they did not serve/nor have they ever served carbombs. Liar, I think I drank my weight in carbombs at the show last year.

The biggest concert of the year happened over the weekend. It was the Monster Ball. Lady Gaga is such an amazing performer. I have been to well over 100 concerts since I started attending them at the age of 16, and Lady Gaga was easily the best I've ever seen. That was a performance I will never forget. The entire crowd was extremely into it from start to end. Such a loud and lively atmosphere. It's no surprise that Lady Gaga has risen to the level of fame she has achieved. The woman is incredibly talented, and just flat out knows how to put on a captivating performance. How you could not mention Lady Gaga, yet managed to mention Katy Perry (who has a terrible voice) is beyond me. Also Lady Gaga's new album "Born This Way" will be released on 5/23/11.

I do have a couple of other concerts on my calendar. I'll be attending My Chemical Romance on 4/8/11. I'll also be going to Coheed & Cambria on 5/3/11. I also would like to go see Bruno Mars on 5/30/11 in Orem, but not sure I can afford it.

Albums I am looking forward to:

The Strokes
The Kills
My Morning Jacket
Foo Fighters
Paul Simon

The only concert anyone should be excited to attend is April 29th at Saltair when Alter Bridge blesses us with their only appearance in Utah in 7 years. It will be an epic night.

Ya I was down in SLC to see Bill Burr the comedian, and I noticed an abundance of drag-queens. Like more than usual.

Coldplay better release an album this year.

Also, I'm excited for Arcade Fire next month, my seats should be pretty good.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say "Angles" is the best album so far of 2011... I have listened through it maybe 5 times, and I'm blown away by how much I love it.

Maybe even the best strokes album ever?

I'm enjoying it, but it's not as good as "Is This It?". Probably not as good as "Room on Fire", either.
