What's new

NFL 2016 Season Thread

I root for Oklahoma in college fb.. I bet on Bradford to win the Heisman preseason the year he won it.. He's one of my favorite QB's ever.. That OU offense was the best I've ever seen in college football (Which I don't watch as closely as NBA/NCAAB/Boxing) ..

70.4% completions thus far, and in my estimation were going into the easier part of the schedule..

Between the Jazz and Vikings I watch a lot of good defense these days

What was your initial reaction to the trade though? Hard to be mad at anything when your team is undefeated, but I can't imagine you were thrilled with how much you gave up.

Speaking only from an Eagles fan perspective, but even at the time of the trade I thought it was a good deal for both sides. Sam Bradford's numbers were impressive throughout the latter half of last season, and that was despite playing in an offense with a non-existent running game, subpar O-line play, and possibly the worst receiving corps in the NFL. He completed 65% of his passes with us, and 7.9% of his passes were dropped (highest in the NFL).

I thought he was very underrated by the public perception, and the Vikings were legitimate Super Bowl contenders in all aspects outside of their QB problem. Bridgewater might miss the next two seasons and who knows how his injury will impact his game after that. The way I saw it at the time was the Vikings traded a first rounder for, at minimum, a 2 year window and potentially longer to compete for the championship.

He's not even the best player in the NFL at his position lol....

JJ Watt
Von Miller
Aaron Donald
Luke Keuchkly (I butchered his last name)

Just to name a few
You know Cox is a defensive tackle, right? If you think him and Von Miller play the same position then you are clueless.

Yeah, to me this is the achilles heel of NFL ... the attacking team scores a TD and the other team has no chance.

It all comes down to the toss.

Good win Cowboys.

The Eagles deserved to lose. They had two chances to put the game away in the 4th quarter, fumbled it on the first, and on the second they were in FG range and let themselves get tackled for a 10 yard loss.
