Gordon Hayward -- best three point shooter in the 2010 draft class?

Nice. The list changes when you filter for qualified.

Not a very big sample size as of yet, but I definitely think we'll end up with a pretty good shooter in Hayward. Earlier, someone had compared him to a young Arron Afflalo and that wouldn't be a terrible outcome for Hayward.

PER... blah, blah, blah, blaaaah! You can't expect a guy's PER (or anything for that matter) to be any good when he doesn't get enough time out on the floor to get comfortable. Come back to me when he's getting 20+ minutes a night.

Jeremy Evans would like to have a word with you.

Evans comes out for one possession, dunks the ball with 3 seconds left on the shot clock, it gets proclaimed an "early-oop" by Bolerhack, and then heads back to the bench.

Fixed.

The "Early-oop" has to be the DUMBEST nickname for such a sweet play in the history of the NBA. Cant those morans, boller and harpring, have boone call hot rod or something and get him to give them some good material for once. I'm sick of those buffoons blabbing on about "rookie (commentator) of the year" and "green" or "red" or whatever color M&Ms Raja eats when he has ONE good shooting night out of 50 nights...or, my favorite part, when harp reads that dumb *** intellibed "promo" and boller HAS to comment on if it was up to par for 5 minutes while the Jazz go from up 7 to down 14 in a matter of 2 minutes....

FUUUUUhhH! I blame this crappy year on those freakin' jackpotters more than I do DWill and Sloan leaving!

Hey, bet you didn't know Favors is only 19 and came over in a blockbuster deal that sent Williams to New Jersey.

Sure its not "Earl oop"? That would make some sense. Cant believe there are still players in the league who dont know that is what Evans does.

I agree.
All the rookies should be getting 30+ minutes from here on out..... and they should be given the green light.

The games will be so much more entertaining with all the young kids out there. The season is over, lets have some fun! This lets Millsap rest and heal up from his injuries. Hell, you might as well DNP AK47 at this point.

Who was it that wanted Luke Babbit again? 1/11, gross.

I think the "real" top three-point shooters of this draft class are Gary Neal and Landry Fields. I think Hayward would round out the top three if he got more time. It isn't that he isn't a better shooter than those guys, it is just that those guys have gotten a lot more playing time and proven they can do it night in and night out.

The thing I loved about Hayward from college is that he can create his own shot.. we haven't really seen much of that in Utah. There are times where I wish he would isolate a little bit.. he's much more versatile than he's showed us so far.

This is easy to explain.

Gordon Hayward recently got hot. He has made 8 out of his last 9 three pointers (one game he was 5-5) The entire season he has made a total of 21. This means that three weeks ago, Gordon Hayward was 13 of 37, or 35.1%

"The problem arises when people use statistics like a drunk uses a lamp post: for support instead of illumination."

Gordon is a decent 3 point shooter. I'd still take Landry Fields, Gary Neal or Wesley Johnson over him (if we are just talking about shooting 3's.) For total # of 3 pointers made, Hayward is 9th.
