2016 NBA Season Notes/Info

I really like this Spurs team, seems like it'll be better than the last few.. Dedmon and Simmons off the bench bring a real nice burst of energy/athleticism.
 
Kings new arena is actually damn cool looking. They've got a live orchestra crushing some Michael Jackson/pop songs at halftime.

Yeah everytime I see that it's a sad reminder of what the Sonics could have been if the city had ponied up the money.
 
Portland starters outplayed the Clippers starters but the Clippers bench dominated. The same thing that happened to the Jazz on the road against Portland happened to Portland on the road against the Clips. Jazz starters outplayed theirs but our bench got worked. Davis, Vonleh and Crabbe beat our team up at home and laid an egg on the road. Also Lillard is less effective on the road along with their bench. Portlands defense is ugly and it starts with their star player not playing much of it. Good news is that our bench is going to get much stronger when Favors, Hayward and Burk come back. I think these three teams might be fighting it out for the 3rd seed and I am feeling good about our chances.

The game was in Portland. They did a much better job of closing out on Lillard. Speights did it several times. If Speights can do it, then Rudy who is a lot quicker should be able to do it. CP3 wasn't guarding him for the most part. But they didn't let him get into a rhythm like we did, so it threw him off a bit.

It was a home game for Portland though...
 
DeAndre Jordan is just a better defender in space than Gobert, made things a lot harder for Lillard.

And CP3 is allowed to get away with murder.
 
What a game. Felt like post season already just 3 games into the season.


What a season this is gonna turn out to be.
 
Jonathan Simmons was there last year and already made an impact with his energetic play. Idk why ppl are so high on him, when he just improved a little from last year.
 
Didn't realize that James Harden had 17 assists for Houston the other night. To go with his 34 pts and 8 rebounds. And they got crushed in the fourth.

Their bench unit just looks improved.. more crisp... David Lee looks like a great fit too. and Simmons only played 15mpg last year, there's obviously still a good bit of room for improvement.
 
Thunder just gave up 40 points in the first quarter against the Suns. Time to bring in Kanter to shore up that D.
 
JVG is easily. far and away, the realest analyst. He just said the Pelicans fans should storm the court for Anthony Davis performance in the first 2 games.
