Is Burks superfluous now?

With Hayward, Joe Johnson, Burks, and (maybe) Lyles you would have 4 playmakers that you could close the game with either Gobert or Favors. If you needed a bucket any of those 4 at the same time could be a nightmare.

There are literally zero scenarios where I'd want Alec Burks closing games for this team.
 
He'd be one of the first guys on the team I would trade (just haven't seen enough of him lately, but I know what I'm getting with other guys). But there's no rush at all, if we did I'd look at switching him out for a young guy on a cheap deal and a 2nd. (one of Covington/Holmes from Philly?)

Let's see. Calm cool collected Joe Johnson backing down a smaller player to draw the defense and either finding the open man or shooting a little push shot for a score, or Burks barreling down the lane at 80 MPH twisting in mid-air as he flings the ball wildly at the basket, falls and breaks his elbow.




Tough call.

Do you ever actually put any thoughts together or just ad hominem everyone into submission?
 
The more I see from Hood the more I want Burks back tbh. Not because Hood is a bad player or anything like that. But so far he seems very streaky. Which is actually pretty similar to Burks, but I really like the odds of having one of them on any given night finding their groove and roasting the other team.

JJ probably only has one more season left after this year. Burks has his career ahead of him if he gets past these injuries. Very short-sighted to think this way. Look at Embiid now. It looks like he's going to make it, and so might Burks whose injuries aren't as serious, nor are any of his injuries as serious as Dante's. Patience is needed with Burks
 
AB would help for sure but I'm not sure he carves out a definitive role this year with the injuries. If I had to pick between Burks and Hill I'd choose Hill like just about everybody else.

Superfluous nah... a great option and potentially valuable trade asset is more accurate. Can we win 50 games without him? Fo sho!

Is the team better without him? No way!

What if Hood gets hurt? Or Dante? We'd prolly need Burks!

Why am I asking myself questions? Shut the eff up dick!
 
If we're comparing Burkes to a girl with 3 nips, gotta say superfluous is kinda awesome and totally underrated.
