Trumpageddon: Day 1 in Trump's America

The people doing this have been here the whole time. They are just feeling like they can be more vocal about it. I dont blame Trump for these stupid actions. I hope he addresses these things and tries to put a stop to it. But it is up to the rest of us to stick up for our fellow citizens and not let this **** happen. I am partially glad people like this are making themselves more known so we know who they are, I think that is better than them being in the shadows. Racists comments are every where on the internet where people can be anonymous. It is sad that people think this way this day and age. I do think these people are a small minority even of the people who voted for Trump.

Yeah but I'm sure some of those are made-up. I mean c'mon now...
Ehh, some may be, but most are not. A younger LGBT undergrad friend of mine got a good ol' fasioned "Kill Yourself F****t" on his dorm door yesterday. (something I had not seen in that area before, maybe one similar incident in my four years of undergrad?)
Those who don't think the election of Trump has energized these disgusting parts of our society and made that behavior more acceptable have their heads up their ***.
Why are you biased against those that have their OWN heads up their asses?
Has anyone been seeing any of this? I know these anecdotes are picking up steam on social media but is this what we're wanting to see? I think it's easy to excuse things as some bad people that are a large minority, such as below:

Clearly everyone would say these people don't represent a movement. But if this were the other way around, would this not be the biggest news story for days?
The fact is, the above video doesn't represent most of anyone on the other side, just like the above things don't, either, yet confirmation bias will allow us to cling to one while dismissing the other.

I see evidence of a lot of criminal behavior in this thread. It ought to be punished. I sure hope Trump agrees. I would be surprised if he doesn't.

My friend is married to a second-generation Filipino. He was told by a couple of people yesterday that he shouldn't have been allowed to vote because he isn't a "real American" as his mother is an immigrant.
Her mixed race children heard a comment or two yesterday about white power.
Her daughter received a text from a boy saying that rape and sexual assault aren't that big a deal because Trump does it.
That's just one family.

This may sound a little heartless, but I hope trump takes this opportunity to absolutely and equivocally disavow all of this sort of stuff. From a political point of view I don't see how you could do anything else.

We're aware this is happening on both sides, right? I won't post a lot of the pictures bc I don't want to get banned here (language). There was some memorial that had "die whites die" and "**** white people". There's the video of the guy getting beat senseless bc of who he voted for. It's awful on both sides. If we act like only one group is doing this to push our own message, we aren't helping anything. We're just making it worse if that's how we're going to act.

Oh please. Our country has been quite divided long before Trump came on the presidential scene. Racists were racist before, and after Trump. The people talking about the KKK didn't say **** when the Black Panthers supported Obama. I'm sure they were good for race relations though. It's just bc of Trump. You're right.
