What's new

Ty .. end of game .. really

What do you expect from a coach who's new winning strategy is to start CJ Miles? Sorry, but Corbin is an idiot.

Once again, if you folks think that Harpring and Boler are bad, you need to get outside more. 99% of announcers are nothing more than glorified cheerleaders.

Bad is bad. If the others are worse it does not make harp good. He is annoying and he is not wearing well. Bring back Booner.

When we were down 3 with like 34 seconds on the clock NOH ball, I wouldn't have fouled. I would have commanded my team to play D, because I have that type of charisma, and then drew up a play for Hayward to hit the game tying 3. It would have been awesome.

If only fallenchicken from the jazzfanz board was head coach.

I would foul any player if he was a 50% freethrow shooter at the end of the game.

You know what the odds on him hitting 4/4? Something like 6%.

Though the right thing to do was to miss, if you did the same again, 100 times, the chances are that the Jazz would win every time.

I didn't see the game. Unless Corbin specifically told the player to *hit* the free throw, I don't see how it was a huge mistake on his part. An oversight perhaps, that he didn't remind the player to do the obvious thing, but to me it seems like it's 80% the player's fault and 20% the coach's fault. Was this Hayward, by the way?

Absolutely not.

When you make the second free throw you get to inbound the ball and make a 3 qtr court pass like they did, catch and shoot. This has 100X more probability at scoring than missing the free thrown and forcing a 75 foot shot.

Dumb Ty, Dumb Team. Shows our head is not in the games...at all.

Thanks. Can someone please explain to me then why this is Corbin's fault rather than Millsap's fault?

I think it is both. Can someone remind me, I don't think there was a time-out before the free-throws, so IMO that makes it more Saps fault, if there was a time-out prior to the free-throws, then it is Ty's fault for not making the strategy clear or not telling Sap to miss.

Don't think so

Give me a break it is the coaches fault period. How long does it take to send the message in after a foul or for that matter substitute in a player with the message, if you can't get a players attention on the court. There is plenty of time to do both. Millsap better not intentionaly miss the shot without the coach's permission. I am hoping that we want the players to play hard, but down deep want to drop like a rock to get the best second pick in the draft that we can.

With our luck last night, even if Millsap missed, we probably would have been called a foul for over the back on the rebound or they would have made a full court 3 to win the game anyway.

1.3 was a tough call. If it's under 1 sec then definitely miss but 1.3 is enough to throw full length and it is even tougher to swallow a loss like that.

Also, I think the biggest mistake of all is that NO ONE guarded the inbound pass... should have put Fes in to disturb the inbounder.
