Clinton will win easily

The women were blamed even more than they are now. It was ugly. Clinton was not popular in Utah, or at least in my part of it, but the women were disliked even more.

Do you mind me asking a completely unrelated question? (If so, just ignore this).

If I were a woman and if I were going to vote strictly according to my self-interest, I'm sure I would have voted for Hillary, only because she might do something about the wage gap, the fact that women only earn only 3/4 of what men do. Yet, white women, and especially non-college white women voted mostly for Trump. What is wrong with my logic there?

Thanks.

Most of my relatives and friends voted for him. They did it because they are Republicans. They are worried about guns being taken away, women having abortions, religious freedoms being reduced, immigration, terrorism. Those things worry them much more than women's rights.

WTF did Tim Kaine add to Clinton's campaign? Just remembered he existed and how retarded a choice he was.

They voted for Trump because women, in general, but white women specifically are ****ing haters. All these women in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Minnesota (MN. never should have been that close) who have acquired nothing in their lives except 225 pounds, a trailer home, 3 kids with two different men, The Complete Jerry Springer Box Set and an oxycodone addiction couldn't stand to see another woman get ahead and either stayed home or voted for Trump.

Wow the left is really nice and accepting of people's choices, and don't fat-shame or anything else they call people out on. Evidence ^

Oh shut the **** up Prince Valiant - when women do stupid **** they need to be called out on it. Just like men.

58% of white women voted for Trump. Only 37% voted for Clinton. I think it's safe to say that in those states, the gap is even wider.

Yeah but exit poll data showed that low income vote still favored Clinton.

Also think it's hilarious that the media doesnt want to talk about how Trump actually got a higher percentage of the minority vote than Romney did in 2012.

I deleted the post because the data I was misread what I was looking at and those stats are insufficient.

This election had more to do with the fact people didnt want to vote for Clinton because she was uninspiring and a bad choice with a history of lying and corruption. Repubs are goign to vote for Repubs, the data showed that. Independent voters and some dems just didnt want to vote for Clinton.

I think your first statement truer than your second. In 2008, people were inspired to vote for Obama. The same this year for Trump. I imagine in 2020, the Dems will realize they ****ed up this time around and come out better, voting for any Democrat with a pulse.

Trump didnt even win the popular vote though. I dont think people were voting in droves for Trump, it just the same people who voted for Obama in the swing states didnt bother voting for Clinton. When your entire campaign strategy is "Im not as bad as that guy" that isnt going to inspire people to get out and vote.

This is more to what candrew was referring.

62% of white female non-college grads voted for Trump. In the states, he mentioned, I'd imagine that's close to 70%.

But she still did better with white women non-grads than the men, so the picture of the women being "haters" is inaccurate IMO. If they were just haters they would be a lower percentage than the men of the same category.

Furthermore the gap between college women to college men is the practically the same as non-college women and men.

I can't say for sure but I'd imagine candrew calling out women since Trump is a mysogynistic, sexist pig and made comments time and again that showed this. He never did any such thing toward males.

I think there may be a comfort with how open Trump is about this stuff, or how he is incapable of hiding it. PC culture has made people untrustworthy because of how robotic and scripted public officials can be.

Think about it, any time Trump attempts to pass any type of discriminatory (racist/sexist/homophobic/etc) type of policy it's going to be highly scrutinized. Anytime he passes any kind of legislation that may not benefit lower class minorities, it will be scrutinized.

With democrats like Obama there is an assumption that he has the lower class minorities best interest at heart and wouldn't do anything to go against his voter base, which is probably false. That makes for a less politically engaged public.

Agreed. Had to be some sort of back room deal or something? I dunno, but the point couldn't have been for him to help her get more votes.

If you put 10 people in front of me I wouldn't even know who Tim Kaine was. I literally can not remember anything about Tim Kaine other than he could speak Spanish.

Pence, while I hated the choice, secured a huge demographic of the population for Trump.
