America now has a president that is ignoring the climate in basically every single way. What can be done, and must be done to prevent cataclysmic impacts from the policy decisions of a Trump presidency? If you think things are "going to be okay"-- why?

Horrible horrible takes from our president in relation to climate change. To him its a hoax and i now im hearing that if the obama administration get us onboard with the world policy to try to do things to slow/prevent global warming (i forget the name of the policy) then he will use executive action to have our countries signature deleted and completely back out of the agreement. (iirc there is something like 170 countries on board currently, including china.)

This should surprise no one. Trump as our president was obviously a bad idea.

I'm not riding the climate disaster bus like some are but clearly the environment is extremely important. From what I can see his energy advisors are all big fossil fuel guys. That will be terrible for alternative energy sources right?

I'm not well informed in this issue but this appears to be bad news all the way around.

I saw a Rocky Mountain Power billboard today claiming something about saving the world from coal powered plants. It made me chuckle.

Paris Agreement is what you're looking for I think.

And we're screwed :(

Gotta tell you, I am SHOCKED, SHOCKED I tell you, that Trump could possibly be influenced by people who have big money invested in fossil fuels.

No worries though, as I'm sure most of his decisions will have the best interests of the country in mind. He's already saved us thousands by refusing to take a salary. Already a true American hero.

He'll be out in four years as Dems will actually get out and vote next time as long as somebody with a pulse is running.

Chapelle an Chris Rock mocking this white outrage was hilarious.

It usually is when those two are involved. And putting down others feelings to prop up your own has always been popular.

Interesting comment on the skit. I saw it as mocking radically charged people which is fair game in my book.

I'm not hitting them for doing it. Fair game all the way.

All I said was those two are funny and that topic/trend has always been popular.

Well yeah but the appeal was not only to Rock's typical comedic audience. Chapelle has not played the race card for black audiences IMO but Rock has thrived on it. This skit was appeal to whites not blacks an Chapelle killed it. He was not putting down he was rolling his eyes an relating to white people on taxes an wealth an stuff. Subtle comedy.
