They need to adopt the bad boy mentality. Maybe hire ol Bill Laimbeer. He'd light a fire under these nice gentleman Jazz players.
I like the Hawks announcers thinking that this is some sort of breakout performance by Gobert. Dude does this night in, night out.
Great Win, but not much action for us Aussie supporters today.
Exum is obviously in the doghouse with Quin, not sure its the greatest tactic as a coach to practically single exum out as the reason they had been on a losing streak. I would have thought having favours and hill out injured was a much more likely reason the jazz had struggled.
To me it looked like exum was just starting to build his confidence, he has definitely been more aggressive this season and his shooting has improved. Defensively he is very good.
Some coaches have the ability to get the best out of the younger players and some don't. We'll have to wait and see what exums progress will be under Quin.
I don't think that's the case at all. Just the odd man out. Jazz are playing for more then in years past. This happens all over the NBA every year.
Gobert is in the dude's heads. He didnt even have to challenge Millsap to make him double clutch and miss a layup. That was hilarious.
I can understand the jazz are in a position to want to win now, not just develop.
However there is minutes available behind hill and it would be the perfect opportunity to develop a player such as exum without too much pressure on him against second team units or needing to play big minutes.
Playing Mack rather then exum is not making any difference to the results of the team.
*This was one of Rudy's most dominant performances of his career.
*Is Exum in the doghouse, or.....?

This is our brilliant coach for you. Dante shows things offensively and instead of encouraging him and telling him "that was great, now put it all together and defend like you can" he puts him in the dog house cuz "he should concentrate on D, instead of looking for his offense"...Really good way to break his building confidence on O. But hey... Shelvin ****ing Mack should be playing instead of him in blowouts...
Exum will play, but there will be games where he sits. I think honk there's times when Mack is playing well. It's an oppertunity for him to rest up and watch and learn as a young raw player. When Mack isn't playing well he will get minutes. I don't really want Exum getting sh mins. Like he was earlier.
i think the arguement is he's watched for a whole year and isn't going to learn or develop confidence other than by playing in real NBA games.
U missed my point. I said he'd play some sit some. Two years ago all he did was what ever it took to not make mistakes. Played defense and hung around the three point line. Watching for a ful season does him no good. He needs to play, make mistakes then learn by watching to fix mistakes. By playing and watching he can get the coaching he truely needs.
