Yes. Gobert's RPM is 2nd to Cousins among centers (3rd defensive, 10th Offensive).

I don't have a problem with a coach trying to make a point by setting a player's *** on the bench when he screws up. But he needs to enforce it uniformly for all players in every game. You can't let a Diaw go through the motions, while punishing Gobert or Exum for doing the same.
Snyder hasn't just given Exum playing time. He has started him multiple times. Snyder has also glowed about players who played well. What difference are you talking about?
Exum has simply performed poorly. He'll get more opportunities.
Hill is just such a perfect match for the Jazz. Don't get why some folks worry about Exum, as long as we have Hill and Gobert on the Jazz we will be making playoffs every freaking year.
Something that people are maybe missing on thus far this season - Hayward's offball movement and cuts. It's sublime right now! He's getting this backdoor cut alley-oop on a whim right now... overall the breaks on his cuts and changes of direction are so sharp and precise. I don't think I've ever seen him cut like that before.
The last time Exum played he was part of a lineup that blew a huge lead against the Nuggets. I think it's more of just a motivation thing to bench him for a game or two.
It requires guys to pull attention away from him too. When hood and hill share the floor they can't load up on the guy.
It's great seeing him get some easy ones for a change.
Oh, and for all teh Schroeder fan boys, he really isnt that good. It was obvious part of the gameplan was going under on every screen he was in. He burnt us a couple of times early, but he was awful after the 1st quarter.
I'm fine with this if it also applies when Mack comes in and kills us... need consistency there.
The Jazz are being outscored by 10 points per 48 minutes with Dante on the court. They're outscoring their opponents by 4 points per 48 with Shelvin on the court.Exum has been better off the bench than Mack.

He's also being overrated as a defender. He does a good job recovering when he's beat, but he's rarely in a good defensive stance, and gets crossed fairly easily. Sure, he frequently recovers, but when he loses his man initially, the rest of the defense breaks a bit trying to cover for him.Yeah, I think Exum has been the better player individually, but something goes on when Exum is on the court. No one guards him off the ball and it really screws up the offense. He has been able to exploit the defenses every now and then, but not often enough.
Although, Cy, as you've pointed out, it's mostly the offense that suffers when Dante's playing, scoring 104.8 points per 48 when Dante's off-court and 86.6 points per 48 when Dante's on-court.He's also being overrated as a defender.
