What's new

NFL 2016 Season Thread

Right now the AFC playoffs look like this:

Denver @ Baltimore
K.C. @ Houston
Oakland - bye
New England - Bye

I like Denver and KC in those matchups. If they win it will be:

Denver @ new England
K.C. @ Oakland

I'd expect home teams to win that with K.C. having a good chance to upset. New England has home field advantage and that's good for them. Looks like it is coming down to the AFC West and New England lol.

Denver has a very hard remaining schedule so who knows. They face the three teams ahead of them in the AFC west. If they can sweep that...

@ Titans
v. Pats
@ Chiefs
v. Raiders

It might be different come playoffs but NE hasn't been, by their usual standard, great at home at 4-2. 6-0, however, on the road.

I see KC or the winner of the North going to the Super Bowl from the AFC. Seattle in the NFC.

If it ends up as the Pats v Raiders in the AFC Championship I'll probably throw up and will absolutely root for any team from the NFC.

Remember when Beantown was insisting that Martellus Bennett was elite? That he was the next Aaron Hernandez? He's obviously a mother****ing geniusboy.

Bennett has more touchdowns than Kelce, Olsen and many other elite TE's......

75% of his touchdowns came against the Browns......

If beating up on the Browns isnt elite IDK what is.

NAOS

Aaron Hernandez best year was 910 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns.

Bennett has 544 yards and 4 touchdowns......with 4 games left in the season.

When all said and done Bennett will be in the ballpark of Hernandez BEST year....but at minimum will be around Hernandez career average.

I win. You lose.

So you think Bennett is going to get 400 yards and 3 tds in the last 4 games? I guess it's possible, but he hasnt been trending up. He has 40 yards in his last 3 games. I think we can all agree the "elite" tag has to come with better consistency than what Bennett has shown.

Bennett is 8th in yards for TE's and tied for 9th in TD's. This is with arguably the best QB in the NFL that has a TE friendly offense. He is more of just a slightly above average offensive TE this season.

Do they play the Browns again??

He's performing at the same level as most "elite" TE's.
