Can the Dante Exum Experiment Please End

He needs to go to the D.League. This dude is going to ride the pine when Hill is back with plenty of DNPs. Maybe that's what they're waiting for. High Schoolers have more swagger than Exum does on the court.

Send him to LA for some "mindset" mental approach to the game. That and some testosterone injections.

If we were offered something decent I would go ahead and move him. I don't see superstar... I see flashes of he could be pretty good someday but they sparkle and fade. His development was never a good fit with our timeline... losing the year really hosed him. Hayward has taken a step forward, Gobert has taken a leap forward, and Hill has shown us what good two way pg play does for this squad. If they had some help we could be a nice team. We won't beat GS or the Cavs unless there are injuries but a win now piece plus an extra pick might provide more value to us than Dante will.

Wouldn't trade him on the cheap... but if something decent popped up I wouldn't declare him untouchable ya know.

Thought he played okay just didn't have his shot fall. If he made those layups we would be calling this a breakout game. He has only started going to the hole for the past 15 games or so. He still needs more time to get better at finishing.

I think Dante is getting abused by the refs who won't make calls when other players push, grab, or throw him down like Bledsoe did in the game against Phoenix, but he makes a ticky-tacky foul and they're right there to make the call. It's obvious he needs to get stronger so that players stop abusing him.

He also seems to have lost a little confidence, in my opinion. And something about his shot just doesn't look right, the way his butt sticks out and his carriage is leaning forward instead of straight up. It looks like he's going to sit on the toilet the way he shoots his jump shot. I'm surprised the Jazz coaches haven't corrected that. But I do like the way he has been going to hole.

Exum frequently takes very difficult lay ups that don't have a chance of falling in. As long as he keeps shying away from contact, this will always be the case.

This is kinda how I felt all along... even before we drafted him.

It sucks cause I really like wiggins and embiid, would have been quite happy with Jabari or gordon.... but I never liked exum. Yet I still get why the jazz took him and I probably would have too. Seemed like the guy you had to take at that spot. Just sucks that all those other guys were off the board. Plus X played a position we needed too.

Hope he can turn it around.... sucks to think that we endured Corbin and a tank season for a guy who we are talking about needing to go to the d league in his 3rd year.

What is "decent" for you at this point?

flopping a #3 pick (Kanter) and a #5 pick (Exum) during a rebuild in a small market could be devastating long term, TBH.

That's not going to happen. At this point I think the Jazz need to put him on the G-time let's get yoked diet and hope that he can develop. I have been wondering if it would be better if instead of playing as a backup guard if he should be playing as a backup sf with lyles at the 4. It might fit him better. He can guard most guys that play the 3 but I doubt most can keep up with him.

It's kinda difficult. I'd want another 1st rounder and a cheap rotation player... I just don't see a good scenario for him and us.

No he will still be in the NBA, You are dumb for even saying this. Of course I see you are from Turkey so why don't you leave the hoops talk to Americans who know the game,

A lot of people complain that you cross the line here too much and we just let it slide. I'm starting to see their point a bit after this garbage here.

Exum'a current situation is like driving somewhere with your wife constantly nagging you about which way you're going, how fast and constantly nitpicking ... of course you're gonna make more mistakes and be more indecisive under such conditions

Women over here aren't like that.

He had so little real team basketball of note it was always going to take until he was 23-24 to be a good player. Unfortunately the ACL really f#$^d up the timeframe and maybe has meant that he prob won't be good before the end of his rookie contract. Still think he'll be a really terrific player by his mid 20's but at the moment he's mentally overloaded. Actually really hope he goes to the Stars and just plays for 2-3 weeks without expectations
