Hayward has become the player we all hoped he'd be. I'm keeping Hayward and Gobert first a foremost, whatever the cost. The rest will fall into place.
 
The intervention for Gordon Hayward happened inside a Chevy rental in Las Vegas two summers ago, after a Team USA mini-camp practice. Jason Smeathers and Rob Blackwell, Hayward's longtime trainers from Indianapolis, watched Hayward sulk through the session. As Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and LeBron James talked trash and traded secrets, Hayward dribbled alone. Smeathers stopped the car and asked Hayward: "Do you even want to be here?"

They asked Hayward why he didn't talk to any of the world's best players, or pick their brains. "They wouldn't talk to me," Hayward demurred, according to his trainers. They had seen this before. Hayward sometimes wore Durant's signature shoes, but would never approach Durant after games against the Thunder. Hayward's friends had to tell him: You're a star, too. You are their peer.

This made me laugh. Hayward isnt one of the cool kids.
 
Oh ****, but Hayward is cool enough to get a session with Kobe:

He quietly reached out to Kobe Bryant to see if the retired superstar might tutor him on the art of the midrange. He ended up spending a week with Bryant in Newport Beach. "He's one of the best to ever do it," Hayward said, "and it was one of my best weeks ever."

The Hayward part was great. He really is just a nerd who happens to be really ****ing good at basketball. An awesome weirdo. He's playing like an All Star this year and we need him back. I was unaware he worked out with Kobe this summer. I hate that I love that. What's cool is he's done nothing but improve every year, like Kobe. I hope the team is realized before the break and we get this **** sorted out.

It highlighted what is probably Hayward's biggest weakness and that is his confidence can be waning.
 
After reading this article I just want Hayward to drop 30 every game so Lebron will finally talk to him. LeBron probably still salty Hayward clickbait/trolled him last year.

Ok they were all from the same game, but still. Jazz in general have a great record against Lebron since Hayward came into the league.

Gordon is 5-4 against him.
