What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

Syracuse has been extremely disappointing so far but if Tyler Roberson (Sr.) goes undraftd I hope Utah signs him for the SL/D-League

He's got some Trevor Booker to his game.

MSU's Nick Ward had a monstrous effort last night In a 1pt OT victory vs a good Minnesota team. 22 - 10 4blk - 1 stl.

He's an interesting player he's sort of built like the 36th pick in 2014 Johnny OBryant. He's 6'9" 260 with a 7'2" WS but much more of a C than PF. Lets see if he cuts weight, he's mobile/agile for a 260lber..

6'11" So. Jessie Govan at Georgetown is certainly a superior prospect tho.

I have to say, since the new CBA is going to have two extra rosters spots for D-League assignments these threads are now actually interesting again.

Hamidou Diallo would be crazy to try and save the sinking ship that is the 2016-2017 UConn mens basketball team. They got thwacked by Houston. He'd be better off practicing at UK a la Enes Kanter.

Be sure to keep an eye on 6'3" Freshman Kyle Guy in the #12 UVA - #6 UL Matchup. I think he could be an interesting player for the Jazz.

Jonathan Isaac has to be a player the Jazz would love to have on the roster/trade-up target. His talent would flash all over the place in this type of system, and thats without having 1 damn play run for him...

Even tho i'm not a fan of the manbun, Kyle Guy is gonna fly up draft boards... He's like Jimmer but more athletic/handsy/aggressive on defense, I think he'll 'translate' to NBA PG better too. There's also alil Tyler Johnson to his game. He'd certainly draw Hornacek comparisons if he landed in Utah...

I'd actually be pretty excited if he was selected with the Warriors pick.

6'3" in-shoes with a 6'5" ws.

this is old news but Its worth mentioning, watching him now he's got 5ast.

Bruce Brown had a triple double earlier this month.

He's only shooting 27% from 3 right now but that's definitely anomalous, this kid can shoot it! if he converts to a viable PG he's easily got 1st rd talent. IIRC DX has him in the 1st rd of the 2018 mock.

Miami lists him at 6'5" but that might be an overstatement. Probably more like 6'4", 6'8½" wingspan -- He might be a better prospect than Frank Jackson.

To make matters worse they're calling it 'the Guy bun'. He really is a good player tho, type of shooter who's lights out when open but can also make some really difficult contested looks. McDonald's All-American -- He'd most likely would've committed to play for Brad Stevens if he stayed in college.

"Oh my gosh, what a comet streaking across our universe" Walton on Ball. Just when you thought he was going to have a bad game he rains down 3 3's in a few minute span for UCLA to roar ahead.

Ika Anibogu is also causing Oregon all sorts of fits. He's actually got a frame like Karl Malone, dude is a tank.

Have you seen Chimezie Metu So. PF/C on USC? He's like 6'10½" but a Capela like athlete, he slingshots up to the rim and he's agile/mobile/quick and has a budding offensive game and a really quick spinmove. He's also younger than many freshman, turns 20 in march.

He's shooting 72% from the stripe after 51% as a Fr. Anibogu is ghastly from the stripe, 43% so far.

There's definitely some Clint Capela to Chemizie Metu's game, but he went 9/10 from the FT stripe last night. He's had a Poeltl like improvement from the line as a Sophomore, from 51% as a Fr up to 75%

He's also clearly a better passer than Capela.. There's been a nice uptick in his assists from .5 to 1.4 per game and it's not by accident.

I cn't help but think he'd be an excellent fit here in Utah..

There was lots of prospects on the floor in last nights game vs Oregon St. Drew Eubanks played well/strong with 15/15.

DeAnthony Melton started the game with a 3 and 2 blocks but kinda faded after that. I've been going out of my way to watch him and I can't help but think that he reminds me, slightly, of Eric Bledsoe..

Would rather have him than George Hill. Fo sho. He reminds me more of CP3 than any PG I can think of since..
