I think that our starters look better on paper overall as does our bench an we play better team but Ariza could slow down Hayward and Beverley could slow down Hill and Harden could go crazy. Looking good so far for the 4th seed by Saturday night. Clippers are down by 25 to the Rockets.

Utah spanked them last time with no Favors, and a big reason was because Harden couldn't get to the rim. Rudy is capable of making Harden much less effective, but if we have a healthy Favors in addition to Rudy, game over. Rockets ain't **** compared to the Jazz.
 
The Rockets are making the best use of their talent with D'Antoni coaching and Harden + Andersen providing space and pace. I don't know how well built they are for the playoffs though, and the Jazz did blow them out the last time we played them.

Meanwhile, the Clippers are falling apart right now. They're going to have to boogie and exhaust themselves to salvage their playoff positioning if this continues much longer. They're losing to teams like the Nuggets, Lakers and Pelicans, games that good teams can't really afford to lose many of.

If the bolded teams win then Utah will be in 4th by the end of the night!

Jazz in 4th at the end of December despite being the #1 team affected by injuries. This team is for real and y'all better be voting for all stars.

The third spot would be the ideal place to finish. That way, we avoid GSW in the second round.
 
I refuse to shake in my boots over Houston, but James Harden just had a 53 point, 17 assist, 16 rebound game against the knicks. First ever 50-15-15 game in NBA history. Utah is going to have to have Gobert and Favors at full strength under the rim if we meet them in the second round.

Probably back in 7th in next 20 days. Tough schedule (7 of 10 on the road) and likely without Hill. 5-5 would be doing good, IMO.

Only way we'd face them in the second round is if one team finishes in third place and the other in second. That's really unlikely.

Yeah, but at teh same time, he dropped that stat line and only beat the Knicks by 7.

Nah, Spurs could slip easy enough. Anyway, My point was that we won't be facing them in the first round, so if we see them at all in the playoffs, it will be second round.
