Whadya think here Jazzfanzers? Is Hornacek turning his back on the offense because Melo called the play for himself? or was it coincidence?

I'd say he wanted #9 to come up and set a screen for him, while he wanted the weak side to space and not do fancy stuff. Basic PnR

Yeah but why would Hornacek not want to see how the rest of the play develop other than the fact that he was annoyed with the decision?

He looked legit annoyed to me.. LOL

I see a lot of interpretations.
He could be annoyed but it's injustified because Melo wanted to exploit a missmatch with a spread PnR.
He could be annoyed with the screener.
He could be annoyed with Melo because he had called a different play regardless what had good prospects in that situation.

Justise Winslow will undergo surgery tomorrow to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder & is likely out for the remainder of the season.

According to Chris Haynes of ESPN, on Dec. 7, after a 115-107 loss to Milwaukee, Ezeli addressed the team in street clothes about playing with added urgency. Another loss the next night to Memphis prompted another attempt at an Ezeli speech, but he was cut off by C.J. McCollum. Blazers players were frustrated with losing despite their efforts, and were not receptive to motivational speeches from someone who wasn’t even playing.

McCollum interrupted Ezeli in midsentence and told him that was enough, sources told ESPN. Portland was in the midst of an emotionally draining December, losing 11 of 13 games. Players were desperately pouring out every ounce of effort trying to change the trajectory of the season, and being lectured by someone who wasn’t even playing wasn’t received favorably.

The frustration has been obvious, and players have not been afraid to voice it publicly. They have such talent, particularly in the backcourt, but a lack of quality frontcourt players has been a huge problem. Things don’t seem to be going much better behind closed doors.

The Jacket's pretty cool though. Looks kinda James Harden/Adidas collaboration-esque. The badges on the shoulder's a nice touch too.
