Fantasy Draft: Sandwiches

I actually really like subways meatball sub.
I get it on wheat with provolone, lettuce, green peppers, jalapeño, and parmesan cheese with a little pepper too.
Really like their sauce for their meatballs.

Ive been scouting some sandwiches, and I'm now convinced there is nothing someone won't make a sandwich with. We could do 30 rounds. I'm just getting started.

The Breakfast Sandwich

Out on the farm, my grandma would always want me to enjoy a hearty breakfast - specifically, to 'eat something that'll stick to your ribs!' This does the trick.


The above pic is pretty close to how I like it. Take a toasted bun, overeasy egg, slice of cheese, a couple strips of bacon, and get the best goddamn Obamacare package money can buy!
 
Torta

The Mexican sandwich, which to me means I get some guacamole or fresh sliced avocado without paying extra. The Mission District is buzzing with some delicious Mexican restaurants, and so whenever I feel like a burrito is too phallic for me (or I really really want some guac or avodcado) on any given day, I'll go for the torta. Get the carnitas. You're welcome.

Srsly? Other people are gonna pick other kinds of tortas? Someone can pick that way different kind with soggy bread that's all covered in sauce (which is pretty bad imo), but if other people are gonna pick other tortas too then I might reconsider my pick.

If I pick a type of torta are other people really gonna want to be picking a different type of torta? That just dilutes everyone's menu imo.

I doubt anyone will, but it's better to have specific sandwich for people to judge.
 
I think it's my turn. If so, I'll take an Italian Hero. Mortadella, salami, and capocollo, with a generous amount of pepperoncini. Damn, I'm really hungry now, and it's 2 am.

Its like earlier with WC and Po'boys. There are so many different kinds of po'boys it's ridiculous to be able to draft them all with one pick. A po'boy can literally be any sandwich on foot long french bread.

It's the same with tortas. It's like saying "tacos" or "burritos". We should be specific in what's in our sandwiches, so that people can have a meaningful way to judge.
 
Yeah, I get what you're saying. I see how this is going.

It could work the other way as well, where sandwiches could be more broad categories like that. I think there are plenty of types to do such a short draft, where something like a po' boy is reaping the benefits of a high draft pick. But that's a different draft and a different day.
