Oh man. This made my day. This is going to be the best 8 years ever. Unless the Democrats assassinate him. I wouldn't put it past them. He is JFK all over again. A true patriot doing it for his country and fighting the criminal elite. He has guts thats for sure.

one media retailer defending the business, all media circling the wagons to defend one another from some uncivilized attack.

It's always gonna be human nature to defend the credibility of establishment, always gonna take some kind of maverick to upset the applecart.

Trump does this because it needs doing. He's been under attack with every last straw man, imagined, accusation launched against him, he's automatically gonna undermine the general credibility of news, and he should. If they were all groveling to outdo one another in his praise, of course they'd be "legit" in his view. but what a laugh. The Press that licked Obama's shoes and would have gloried in Clinton's victory has lost the right to claim objective news reporting. Maybe they will redeem themselves with attacking Trump? Gotta start getting the story right if that's gonna happen. So far, it's just extremely undermining their credibility that they can't get back to real news.

lol, "fake news" was a left thing. He is merely running with it. not trying to defend the Rs per say but that wasn't them.
 
I dont give two ****s about the Russia business, but any time you see a fellow journalist attacked like that (and asked afterwards to stfu or they'd be booted out), you're doing yourself a disservice as a journalist by not standing up for the one who got chastised.

The other journos are being morons because with Trump, this will be very flavour of the month-- right now, his vendetta is against CNN. Next month it'll be ABC. He doesn't care about the networks-- all here cares about is which networks are providing negative publicity. If you do your job and report negatively on Donald Trump, you'll be called fake news and you'll be kicked out of press conferences.


Any one who doesn't see the slippery slope that this could become is quite honestly an idiot. Shame on the other journos for not asking the questions that Acosta asked (just as a **** you to Trump), and i'm curious to see how this develops over time

I agree that his actions in regards to press are troubling and worrisome. Weakening freedom of the press in turn weakens freedom of speech. This has actually been one of my biggest critiques of him. But him calling CNN fake news made me laugh, it was funny. We (general sense)can't let it stand but I laughed.

Took the words right out of my mouth. When I opened this thread all I saw was a bunch of trolls deciding who was going to take the biggest bite of the soggy biscuit.
