ESPN prediction on All-Star Reserves

Gobert seems to be grabbing attention around the NBA at the perfect time and Hayward looks solidly in. Think we get both in. Also remember there is injury replacements, believe the one year Okur got in he was replacing someone.

Just for the record, I really hope Hayward makes it, irrespective of Gobert. Hayward has carried this team for so long, and has improved each year while doing it (and in my opinion he remains the best player on the team) that I'd really hate to see him get snubbed in a year when the Jazz record is forcing the NBA to recognize both the Jazz and Hayward as legit. If I had to choose between the two of them, I'd choose Hayward. Gobert's upward trend indicates that he'll get plenty of Allstar appearances (I expect there will be increasing discussions over time about whether Gobert is the best center in the league), but Hayward's trendline is less certain (he may be peaking). I'd like to see him get it at least this once, in acknowledgement for all he's done for this franchise.

Inside the NBA Crew (Shaq, EJ, Kenny, Barkley) predictions (all chose Westbrook, Thompson, Green, Cousins, the remaining 3 as follows):

Shaq: Gasol, CP3, Hayward
EJ: Gasol, Lillard, Jordan
Kenny: Conley, CP3, Jordan
Charles: Gasol, McCollum, Bledsoe

I guess we now know that, out of that crew, only Shaq actually watches games.

When will the rest of the all stars be announced?

If the reserve voting timeline is similar to the fan/media/player voting, then today should be the last day for the coaches to get their votes in.

They are revealed Thursday night on TNT. And we play Thursday night on TNT.

It's fate, announcers want to be saying 'first time all star...' all night.

Gobert at least has 1 All Star vote from Michael Malone!!!!

Looking good guys!!!!

He just said Hayward "is having an all-star type season" in his pre-game interview right now.
