Following potential 2017 draftees...

There's like 10 good games tonight. Good thing i post about this **** elsewhere -- This thread and the college basketball one are pretty much on life-support.

0 responses to the mock here. Other spot I post had 100 responses.

Dude you hype up about 100 dudes and when 60 of them get drafted you feel accomplished. You basically just reiterate what the consensus is on guys. It's easy to go back and bump all of the good things you've said about guys when you literally do it for 100 of them.

Well this is a Jazz forum and we will be getting the leftovers at around 22. Granted they are "good" leftovers this year. Expect talk to pickup in March.

I read your mock. I agree with much of it, though I'd be a bit surprised if Issac gets as high as #2. The Jazz will be watching to see who falls from the late teens. They'll have to take what they're given, like when they picked Hood at #23.

I'm not sure what to think of this draft. There's good talent at the top, though not obvious superstar talent aside from the PGs. The draft could produce 3 or even 4 All Star-level PGs. It's also a pretty deep through the 20s of the first round. The Jazz will get a good player, hopefully an upside-athlete with some toughness. That's what they need to add.

Get the **** outa here. I was hyping Markelle Fultz here when he was ranked in the 20's of the HS class saying "I think he's got the talent to keep rising the rankigs" Same for Robert Williams in the 50's of the class rankings, Same for De'Aaron Fox who I pointed out ranked at 4-stars here....

those types of calls are forgotten here regularly and it's really quite the opposite of what you described. More posters here want to talk to me about Alex Len or Noah Vonleh instead of the 100's of players on the radar now.

I'm constantly pointing out things ahead of the consensus and finding flaws in those lists.

The reason I point it out is people here don't seem to really watch many games anymore.. I've seen 100's already for damn sure.

Miles Bridges is beasting vs Purdue.. I remember bringing him up here at 4-stars..

Josh Jackson with 2 3p makes in consecutive games. He reminds me of

I think this draft is going to produce like 9 stars, PG's will be the strength but I'm sure without even seeing declarations/withdrawals this draft will be 40+ deep.. So the Jazz could have 3 selections in that range..

This crop really has the it factor.. Been waiting for this group to hit college for years..

There's such depth and broad-based skillsets at the top it's likely many upper echelon 'specialists' will be right in the Jazz range..

PG_AB you make a ton of amazing contributions to this thread and the draft in general. Just stop tooting your own horn so much or admit the mistakes you make.

So what. Thats ****ing beyond trivial, the fact you think that holds any weight is telling.. Grasp for straws much? The fact of the matter is a bunch of people who OBVIOUSLY watch 1/50th of the games that I do try to hold dominion over these conversations, like you're attempting to do here now.

What do you have to add other than what the consensus is? LOL. The fact of the matter is people here try to hold my feet to the fire about many of my opinions but most of my best posts get no response here whatsoever and looked over.

you claim my opinions are that of the consensus and then you call when I point my opinions that were ahead of the consensus tooting my own horn.

Damn, Marquette rallies from 17 down to beat #1 Villanova. Katin Reinhardt lead with 19 points. Didn't he used to play for UNLV?

Robert Hubbs with 25 points as Tennessee upsets #4 Kentucky. Monk with 25 points and Briscoe had 14 rebounds.

Jevon Carter with 9 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists for WV as they upset #2 Kansas. Josh Jackson with 22 points.

Gonzaga the new #1? Arizona rising up in the rankings to #7. Solid team and get the best player in the class (DeAndre Ayton) next year, imo. They look like a team that can be at the top for years to come.

Josh Okogie is having a great game tonight against two potential 1st rounders, one definite lottery pick, vs Florida State.

32 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assist. The guy is a freshman

It took all but one glance at Nigerian-born shooting guard Josh Okogie to dub him one of the most physically intriguing two-guard prospects at Nike Global Challenge. Standing at least 6' 4” with a strong frame, huge hands and what appeared to be a near 7-foot wingspan, Okogie instantly won the physical profile battle among shooting guards at the tournament. Although not overly tall, Okogie is strong, long, quick and explosive and showed flashes of a fairly impressive skill set.

Okogie lacked consistency throughout the tournament as he battled poor body language and decision making, but he proved comfortable handling the ball, can shoot it a little bit both off the catch and the bounce, and has monster potential on the defensive end.

While very lazy when not engaged, when Okogie is locked in he shows tremendous technique lifting his inside foot to fight over screens. He covers ground quickly as an on-ball defender and can constantly poke the ball away with his length. When focused, Okogie was without a doubt one of the best on ball perimeter defenders at the tournament while showing the ability to fly around off the ball, highlighted by several chase-down blocks in transition.

On the offensive end, Okogie was a bit of a mixed bag. For stretches (especially during his 22-point game versus China) he looked very comfortable with the ball, weaving through traffic in transition, finishing around the rim effectively in the half court, making pull up or spot jumpers (while sporting a low release point) and even finding a big underneath from time to time.

Okogie has outstanding speed in the open court, uses his length and athleticism to finish, and was able to knock down 5-of-13 shots from beyond the arc. When Okogie was going well, he looked like one of the best perimeter players at the tournament, but when he would string together a few bad plays, the wheels fell off.

Okogie had a six-turnover, 2-for-10 game vs USA East that was filled with forced passes, low percentage shots, bad body language and very little natural feel for the game. Over the course of three games Okogie racked up only three assists while committing 12 turnovers. His decision-making and feel for the game need quite a bit of work, as does his motor when things go wrong.

But from a physical tools and skill set standpoint, Okogie has plenty of upside and could end up being a steal for whatever college he attends as long as the head coach is able to reel him in a bit. It's tough to find shooting guards with size, strength, quickness and length who can handle, finish and shoot a little bit. Okogie is a work in progress, but he's without a doubt worth tracking as a sleeper type moving forward.

New DX mock draft.

Justin Patton is mocked in the lottery of one of the better drafts lately. WOW! I was hoping we can get him with our picks.

Other notable things -
1. Adebayo keeps falling. What am I missing, guys? I know he doesn't have amazing length, but damn... really? No. 20?
2. Jazz get Donovan Mitchell(SG) at 24, Justin Jackson(SF) at 30, Caleb Swanigan at (44) and L.J. Peak at 54.
3. OG falls to 23. Hm...
4. All 5 PGs are in the top 10.
