The Inevitability of Impeachment

Here is the problem I have with what is going on with the state of our political discourse. We are so caught up in us vs them that we are missing what is really going on while Trump and Bannon are starting a new us vs them war (or an old one if you fancy). They are nationalists, and calling anyone who disagrees with them globalists with a secret agenda. Now I don't really have a problem with Nationalists, historically speaking, but my problem is that there is a time and a place for Nationalism, and a kind of nationalism that works, and many that don't.

Nationalism, in my opinion, only works for the good of the people if the identity is an inclusive one, and not an exclusive one. Bannon, and to a somewhat lesser extent Trump, have expressed Nationalistic views that are exclusive, that favor rich white males. Don't believe me, just look up Bannon's history, it's very clear.

Teddy Roosevelt was a nationalist, but he also was a president to all of the people within our borders. If Trump is to succeed as a nationalist president, he has some thinking and changing to do regarding inclusivity of all americans, otherwise he will fail miserably.

Unfortunately, for a ton of americans, he has already disqualified himself to be respected in their minds.

Oh great. So we have to go the man who made his name with the rough riders playing imperialist expansion games for a "good" example of inclusiveness.

Pretty stupid. Way stupid.

Probably don't know what you're even talking for, or about.

Is JFC a great drinking binge, or what?

According to Reince Priebus (weird name btw), they only included the countries that Congress and the Obama administration already approved because they wanted this to occur quickly, and without debate about the countries. He also added that they still can add more countries, and will probably choose to do so.

I will bet you $1000 Saudi will never be added on *that* list.

Probably a lot of Trump support base are responsive to anything that crystalizes dissatisfaction with the rule of the "old" mainstream, today's crybabies who are now uncertain of their future. Does not really correlate with Steve Bannon being a sort of underground President with a bad toupee "talking head" out on the stage.

Bannon was articulate and effective running Breitbart, and found a huge public response. This is just another phase of a public looking for better news, better ideas. Rush Limbaugh started something, a sort of genie has gotten out of the old establishment bottle. People want to have a say, don't like being lectured on the evening news with a sort of Univision reality show. For decades mainstream media has donned the priestly robes of statism and propagandized America. We're just sick of it.

I will bet you $1000 Saudi will never be added on *that* list.

Saudi royals being historically handpicked by the Brits, and all, a necessary thing to hire the desert robbers to defend their oil interests, and such.... there's fewer than 10,000 well-paid enforcers of Western interests in that country, and a huge oppressed impoverished class.

Obviously, the Saudi royals are all in for monitoring their people and gladly handing us their data, and nobody is going anywhere without a trusted reputation. Oh, unless they can get to Yemen somehow.

US vetting Saudis would be pretty redundant, in terms of the sort of visa people show at airports.

Tell me if I'm wrong. That's the way I figure it out from my armchair and encyclopedia.

well most of the 9/11 attackers had Saudi visas. So you're wrong.

Is there a way to filter these threads? It's really tedious when desiring to read a good thread subject to have to sift through so much garbage. Is there a way to filter these posts by # of likes?

Put computer, dutch, and boris on ignore. You are welcome.

Lets bet then. I will put up $50 that he won't get a second term.

A fool's bet. Trump is doing a lot of things that will permanently change the voting demographics in this country for decades. He is targeting AA voters, an once he shows them results they will start turning out to vote R in droves.

You know who benefits most from a border wall? Low income job holders who receive less wage competition. You know who benefits from Ben Carson leading HUD an being tasked with focusing on the URBAN DEVELOPMENT side of the program? You know who benefits from Trumps commitment to inner cities?

I recently read that Chicago gang leaders met with a community leader from Chicago that has Turnips ear. He said they back Trump an are fully on board with Trumps plans to clean up the slums. Now, if the most heinous, the gang leaders support Trumps initiatives than what you think the average, hard working but in poverty inner city resident thinks?

Trump is going to turn fascist, failed, bankrupt blue states red again an he is going to do it by targeting the most unlikely groups.

i am 100% sure trump wont get impeached.
and 60% he would get re-elected only thing keeping him from getting re-elected might be his age or his personal preference to not run again

On a side note I am not to happy with how the interactions with world leaders are going. Mexico, Japan, Australia... ugh. Looks terrible and gives me little hope for the future.

Typical liberal drivel. Stick your fingers in your ear an yell "lalala I can't hear you". Not are fault you are afraid to think critically.

Is it "I can't hear you" or "You're not worth hearing"?

Teddy Roosevelt was a nationalist, but he also was a president to all of the people within our borders.

With certain qualifiers.

“In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.

So are calling Trump a turnip, or did you say he had a turnip ear?

With certain qualifiers.

Yeah, he had some problems. Probably not the best example. There's also a quote about then giving up their culture somewhere.

I disagree with some of what he said, but not as much as I disagree with Trump.

I saw something about that, too. It was a 3rd or 4th hand unsourced quote, much like how I can talk about what I heard that some 7-11 employee said. Pretty slim evidence.

I've stated that fact at least ten times in various threads. Not only.

Our intelligence agencies knew about every one of them. Our intelligence agencies ignored multiple underlings sounding alarms about them. And Pres. Bush loaded up all of Bin Laden's relatives..... his "friends".... on a jet and got them outta harms way, on purpose, after 9/11.

So I'm right. We have such excellent relations with the Saudis they are practically our own little puppets. Bin Ladin may, or may not, have been anything. The media says nay, put the blame on him, we go to war with Saudi? No, so we go to war with Saudi enemies.

I bet Trump will appear to some to be irrational in keeping the Saud play in place, but I bet the wars end pretty quick. Mercenary wars need the inflow of cash and arms, and I believe Trump will disrupt that stream.

Then he will be impeached, with RINO hawks helping to shred the carcass.
