Despite being a pedestrian-sized PG and 2½ years away from draft eligibility I'm convinced he's gonna be at least a good backup type of player in the league.. He's got an NBA pedigree his father was a journeyman. He's no Kasey Hill.

Been watching him for a few years he played with Bagley on the AAU circut since he was like 5'7" and at this point he's the best shooter in the 2018 class as far as I'm concerned. Certainly the best with that sort of quick-action release.

I think he's gonna be like Tyler Ulis sort of effective, I like him better than UK's incoming starting PG next year Quade Green, who's similarly pedestrian sized.. He's razor sharp. This HS class's PG's don't stack up well next to some of the adjacent classes but I'm convinced Garland has what it takes. He's definitely still be growing too I think I've seen him listed at 6'2" somewhere recently.

would classify him as "one of the best guards i've seen born in the 2000's", Reminds me a bit of a Brandon Jennings Jalen Brunson fusion, he's gotta be a better shooter than both at this stage tho.

If he's a 2018 graduation guy then he's somewhere between 15 and 17. Maybe he'll grow a little.

I think Gordon's point of release could be a little higher, but his shot prep is very quick. He doesn't jump high, doesn't dip the ball and the low release point on top of it means he can get it off in a hurry. He also compensates for his lack of length by leaning back a little.
Tbh my suspicion is he just has very good hand eye coordination and muscle memory. His shots rarely miss long, most of the time left-right. He can hop and step depending on the situation and I presume the way he shoots stems from being in love with step back moves.
We had some comfortable 61°F with the sun shining over here last week so I already logged a few hours outside ;)

Whatever the case is, the improvement that Jalen Brunson has made this season has been one of the more overlooked story lines in college basketball this season. After a stellar, 22-point, 10-assists performance in a 22-point win at Seton Hall on Saturday – one that saw Brunson shoot a perfect 7-for-7 from the floor – the sophomore is averaging 14.6 points and 4.5 assists for the Wildcats this season.

He’s the engine that makes Villanova go. He’s the reason that the Wildcats haven’t missed Ryan Arcidiacono all that much this season. He’ll probably end up being the Big East Player of the Year at some point before his career comes to an end, and it’s all from a guy who looks like he’s moving about as quick as I do on a basketball court.

2 infuriating home-court refereeing gaffes are keeping UVA in this game vs Miami in the closing seconds.. now its tied at 43 with 4 seconds to go because of 2 FT makes from a foul call in which Bruce Brown blocked the shot, completely all ball, and got whistled.

This is one of the worst I've seen.. It'd only be right for Miami t win at the buzzer

i really like Jarrett Allen. DX doesn't even have him their top 25. is that because they think he's staying? i'd love to get my hands on a guy with that kind of potential at 26 or lower.
 
just read on DX that Monte Morris has 39 assists and 2 TOs in his last five games and leads the country in AST/TO. crazy how consistent he's been in that area over his four years in Ames. even as a frosh, he was one of the best in the country.

They've got him 12th in 2018. He's safely inside the top-20 on my 2017 bigboard tho for sure.. fringe-lottery.

has he said he's coming back? if i'm him, i'm gone. if he's 12 in '18, he's probably at least top 20 this year. size, athleticism and numbers are eerily similar to Favors at GTech - Favors a bit thicker/stronger perhaps, but i might like Allen's fire/competitive nature a bit more.

I can't imagine he'll pull an Ivan Rabb.. I hope for the sake of watching James Banks next season he leaves..
 
C/o 2018 Canadian 6'4" CG Luguentz Dort, who's built like Marcus Smart was one of the standouts at the recent NBA Basketball without borders camp flashing his usual ability to get to the rack and an improved 3pt shot..

Player to watch for sure. I first posted him here a while back when he was ranked like 80 or 90th.. Looks like a pro prospect to me. I like him better than Paul Scruggs who's a top-30 2017 player with a similar build/skillset
