They are shutting down the large and at capacity road home shelter. Due to what seems like business pressure(gateway mall and renovation that were announced all around the road home). Moving the homeless shelter that holds 1,060 people in a mostly industrial business area that is well established and everyone around that area knows that the shelter was there and what the area was like and moving them to residential areas. The new shelters will hold 150 each. So we are reducing the number of beds and people that the shelters will help as well. The only good thing is that one of them is going to be a Women's only shelter.

The part that makes me very upset is that the city and mayor made the decision behind closed doors with no input. I live about 1-2 blocks away from one of these new sites. It will wreck my house value. I chose to buy a house that was not near the homeless shelters for many reasons and 1 year later they move one right next to me to help make a profit but claim it is because they are trying to help homeless people. This in no way will be better for homeless people but it will be worse for the city and a lot of peoples home value. This will make business property and city property around the old shelter worth a lot more though. I am going to put effort into stopping this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Because they have come to zap away his white privelage wealth that he didnt not truly earn.

What do I preach buddy?

Also helping the homeless is great. This is not helping the homeless. This is the city collaborating with big businesses in SLC to make a large chunk of money at the expense of citizens all while hurting the homeless population.

As usual you clearly are talking out your *** and no nothing about this subject.

But you can do your usual and post crap and then run away when real evidence or facts are presented.

And no, no one wants to pay 100k tax or fee for homeless people. Most people cannot afford that, including myself. That is an unfair burden to put on a small part of the cities citizens. If we spread that money out, sure that is fine. Although this whole plan is awful. This will not help the homeless at all or improve the city at all.

I'm just merely demonstrating that this is exactly how the left reacts to anyone who tries to make a valid point about refugees or immigrants. They get to shut down the conversation by slapping a label on that person. Without having to make any solid counter arguments. You literally could just swap people out of your complaint, and your thoughts match right up with what you claim to be against.

Let me demonstrate with your last paragraph.

The only reason you are getting away with hobophobia (which is a real thing), is because Donald Trump wasn't first to say it and its not main stream right now. I guarantee that if this came out of the Donald's mouth, you and other people would be all over him for hobophobia.

NIMBY hits ever one bud. Problem these days is white guilt that tells whites they are privileged an have no say on the matters.

I know white people who do not like illegal Mexicans undercutting there wages in the Utah drywall industry. I know construction workers in Arizona that bitch the same think. I know black people living on welfare cause it is more affordable then competing with migrant workers. You think they like illegals? Hell no. But what does the media report on? White privileged an white guilt. Why? What is there angle here? Why do they not report on white lives matter when a white man gets shot? Why?

Please link to major media outlets most recent stories on white privilege and white guilt.

I'm expecting to see all the big names and at least a half dozen stories from the last week, since you seem to think they are reporting on that instead of other important issues.
