While I am not in his corner I don't buy into all the mass hysteria often pushed by his detractors.

I think he has a huge ego, has a strong petty side and was not my choice. But I'd don't see all his moves as nefarious and horrendously bad as some do.

I try to take him issue by issue and case by case.

Why do you believe you know what "brains" are? This is an emotional, exaggerated statement unsupported by good reasoning.... "Anyone" is a pretty broad group of people you actually don't know, or know anything substantial about. Who knows all that people consider when thinking it's prudent to scrutinize the Trumpbuster interests.
Are you aware of George Soro's political activist campaigns, hiring people to push his projects, or do you know what those projects are?

You might, but I doubt you would admit, or explain and defend it. I would consider it possible you are a supporter of Obama and Hillary, and I think if you are, there is plenty of good reason to question your thinking. Probably it is unquestioning ideological enthusiasm for the generic causes they support.

People who voted for Trump were strongly against the direction Obama and the Clintons would go if given the vote. Many are sick of our poor econonomy. Many have lost good jobs to overseas operations even from American companies which decided to avoid our climate of regulation and our taxes, but want to then send their production into this country, into our marketplace, with significant reductions in their costs for labor and even host country tax incentives, and no tariff. Good for Walmart, for a while, but people here losing jobs...

Many Trump "defenders" want a strong American military with less ambitious overseas deployments that have little to do with our defense, more to do with geopolitical engineering for globalism objectives.

Many Trump "defenders" want regulated immigration that selects for higher qualified working future citizens, and excludes nutjobs hell-bent on murdering US citizens.

Trump is not even a conservative. He's an FDR style democrat, you know, the sort of democrat who thinks the government should do great things, like build a Hoover Dam and have social security for Americans, jobs programs, and help buying homes. He thinks Obamacare can work if he can make a few economical changes.

A lot of people like the Medical Savings Accounts, and the govt.-subsidized catastrophic health insurance.

Pretty sure a lot of people have good reasons for defending Trump, particularly over the likes of Hillary and Obama and David Rockefeller and George Soros.

good i apreciate that.

we live in an outrage culture :D.

at least when is was outraged with obummer it was policy related, but i swear if trump does anything good, people who 2 years ago agreed on that position now get outraged like they have switched sides. its like, ooh trump is for a, then its **** a we don't want a

Because the idiots who voted for this *** clown are showing their true colors. So much of the hatred about Obama was fake, and pointless. He golfs too much. Trump is golfing like crazy, and Fox news is lying about where he is. The got caught last week on their twitter account. I could care less who golfs, but if you are going to attack others for it be prepared to take it.

The economy was so horrible right? Record job growth, and those same numbers that were dismissed under Obama are suddenly valid.

Health Care. Hes on record blasting Obama. For one the Republicans did nothing but block ACA, and care more about letting it die than fixing it.
It could be repaired, and improved. The Republican congress has done nothing for 8 years, and now their true ignorance is showing. They never had an alternative.

Trump doesnt give a **** about some of the poor lower class people duped into voting for him. None of his policies help them.

The republican line is to demonize socialism because some know that people will actually like it.

Obama will go down as one of the best ever whether you agree or not. Trump is being mocked by the world, as he should be. If you voted for Trump and still think he is doing a good job yes you have **** for brains.

Ok lets look at everything case by case. Health Care. Foreign Relations. His Cabinet Choices. His claim of Obama wire tapping him. eliminate the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. His supporting of the coal industry. His hatred of the EPA. Climate Change.

He said over and over he had a better plan, everyone would have great coverage, it would be easy etc. Wrong on so many levels.

Blasted Obama repeatedly for golfing. I show you video evidence of his hypocrisy. This is Donald. A man child with zero experience.

Im sure he can get those corporate tax breaks, and tax breaks for the rich pushed through. We'll see what he really cares about.

policy related? like his birth certificate. his golfing. his vacations. his family.

what bubble are you living in?

Oh just the issues you don't like? OK.

I guess his supporting maternity leave is bad as well. Who needs 6 weeks paid leave?

Spending on our infrastructure must suck as well. No need to fix those decaying bridges.

Not opposing legal weed if a state wants it. Terrible idea

Push employers to provide child care.

Improve cyber security

All his policies. Yes, ye has some terrible ones. Yes he is an ego maniac who needs to put twitter down. yes his defense spending increase is dumb. Yes, his Roe v Wade stance is bad. yes gutting the EPA is to much... he says, does and believes a lot of straight up stupid things and he wasn't my choice. But can we stop with the over dramatic attacks?

It's as bad as listening to some people lose their crap over Hillary

Don't forget russia

Don't forget russia

I find the election stuff troubling and support an independent investigation.

Outside of that I am not necessarily opposed to any Russia "policy" of his. Certainly more potential for working together, and avoiding conflict, than under Clinton.

Man, I get that you try to be reasonable and fair to both sides but Trumps presidency has been uniquely terrible so far, like constitutional crisis level terrible. I really don't think people are overreacting to it, in fact I think a lot of people are actually under reacting to the crazy **** that's going down I Washington right now.

As far as the maternity leave stuff goes, I'll believe it when I see it. Trumps track record on campaign promises so far is, to put it lightly, really ****ing bad.

And as far as his policy on MJ one needs only to look at his pick for AG to see how full of **** he was on that position. Sessions is about as antipot a guy as you can find.

And I agree with a lot of the hits on his presidency.

But so much of it is just impotent rage and noise it's laughable.

Personally I am over joyed at the trainwreck that DC currently is.

Edit: as far as the "being fair to both sides" goes. That is probably because I don't trust either "side". They both suck for so many reasons.

Speaking of Russia how do you feel about Trumps apparent disregard for NATO? Or his campaign removal of arming Ukrainian resistance against Russian expansion from the GOP platform?

Also, why should we be working together with a country that tried to undermine our elections? That's an act of war imo. This idea that we should be friendlier with Russia after what they've been up to the last few years is baffling to me.

I agree with his critique of most other NATO allies failing to hold up their end of the 2% pledge. I would go about it different but it appears to be working, somewhat at least.

As for Ukraine, short of going to war with Russia and forcibly taking Crimea back it is staying in Russian hands. Are you willing to support a war for that? I'm not.

We have a couple options as far as Russia goes.

1. War
2. Status quo and this increasing cold ward status (all the more reason to get NATO to the 2%)
3. Try to start co-operating with them in areas that mutually benefit us

As for the elections, I have clear worries, but I want to see what an investigation gets before I fully decide where I stand.

Personally I am more in line with a mix of 2 and 3. But let's see what an investigation uncovers.

I will say that the moves by the Admin look sketchy and bad. Moves like refusing to disclose who signed D. Nunes into the W.H. and him cancelling an house intelligence committee hearing when the fired AG (can't remember her name atm) was set to testify.

Looks like a cover-up. Today the press released letters that prove the administration made an effort to keep Yates from testifying, something they claimed they didn't do. Incidentally the same day Yates notified the white house of her intentions to testify Nunes canceled the hearing. What a ****ing joke.

Yes it does.

If it is shown that Russia colluded with Trump to throw this election that is treason for him(and any other American involved), an act of war by Russia and espionage for any non American citizen involved.

That's how I'd see it.

Pretty much. I think it's been confirmed that Russia ran an operation to subvert the election in an attempt to hurt Clinton and help Trump. We just don't know for certain at this point whether the Trump campaign was aware of the operation or, even worse, helped it along.
