Free Jazz Tickets

The dumb thing is, if the Jazz would've called me and said "Hey, we can't give you the tickets that you had in your account, but we'll give you cheap upper bowl seats instead" I would've paid for them.

Heck even if they offered me the "free" seats at a small discounted rate from the face value we would've just paid for them.
We tried to buy a couple with a 10% off email promo we had & we can never seem to get those promos to work with the exception of the Hayward promo.

You guys may have just ruined the Jazz chances of re-signing Hayward. The lost revenues for the Jazz from the free ticket scam, will lower the amount they can afford to offer him (by millions). :D

I bet you're happy about that.

it is kinda weird to think they can just drop into my account and take the tickets out. no explanation at all. how do they know i didn't get this tickets fair and square? and i just remembered that the last new car i bought was from LHM. didn't get any free jazz tickets then. still haven't gotten any free tickets.

I honestly think this is a legitimate question.

I wonder if the people running the promo for LHM car dealership(s), misrepresented the way in which these tickets were acquired to flashsaets and smith's tix. Maybe they claimed hacking and/or fraud was involved.

At the expense of saying something incredibly douchy, I wonder if there is a legitimate grounds for a claim for compensation. If the property was acquired without any crime or offense of any type, freely handed from one entity to another, by what legal standard can they take that property back without consent or compensation?

This is especially true for anyone who did not acquire the tickets from the promotional website, but from private party to private party. Those people certainly did not do anything even slightly questionable. The person who transferred them the tickets had them in their possession and had no reason to believe they could be taken. The person receiving them has no real recourse against the person who transferred the tickets to them, their claim would be against flashseats. I can't imagine how flashseats ultimately wouldn't be held accountable to those third party ticket-holders?

Had flashseats charged full price for transferred tickets to the person who got them from the promotion and transferred them, how would that shake out in court? Of course, in that case, leaving them in the possession of the people who had no idea there was any question as to the legitimacy of their tickets.

Someone at LHM screwed this up, pretty big time. Obviously people shouldn't be getting 10+ lower bowl seats for free, but at the same time, it's pretty douchey of them to claim "fraud" and randomly take seats away when they obviously just had a pretty big oversight with their system. Like back to what I said on the last page, why not just change them to top of the arena upper bowl seats for free? Sure, we would've been irritated, but I wouldn't have been THAT upset... still free, fills seats that nobody is probably going to buy anyway, and keeps customers happy.

The tickets I was planning to use (that were taken away) are still available for sale. I'm gonna check before I leave the house, but I might still sit in those seats tonight.

but you gave away your plan right here in front of the LHM lurkers. they will meet you at the seats tonight and send you on your way back upstairs.

they know all. omniscient. that's how they knew to take my tickets away.
They knew to take mine away as well. But not until after I went to 2 games row 13 with me and some friends for free!

They messed up and lots of people took advantage of that. The only thing I don't like is them trying to blame their mistake on fans who jumped on a chance to go to a game for free and tried to get many friends and family to go with. No one here did anything wrong.
