2011 draft.....

Ok, but not anywhere near any of these intl players yall keep pimpin. I mean b knight played major minutes on a final four team and improved dramatically as the season progressed. Intl players are barely role players for their current teams.

I like Knight too, but I dont like that as a 6'4 PG he shot such low % from the field. He seems to be a good shooter to, which would suggest his finishing skills arent that great.

50/50 is what you say, bro. That list is trash. You do not pick 5 percent of those players in the top 15, much less top 5. So really, what is your point? My point is that euro player rarely turn into anything more than role players. I would take brandon knight over any of these euros. He has starpotential, and that is what we need, not some project euro.

You must be kidding me. Of course I wouldn't pick 5% of those players in the top 15! Most of them weren't even picked in the top 15 when they were drafted. My point is that you said the majority of the European players drafted were "utter trash". That's a direct quote. I proved that wrong.

Now on to your other points that these players don't get playing time....

Jonas Valanciunus averages 15 minutes with 7 ppg and 6 rpg against GROWN MEN.
Biyomobo averages 17 minutes with 6 ppg, 5 rpg and 2 bpg against GROWN MEN.
Vesely averaged 24 minutes with 10 ppg and 4 rpg against GROWN MEN.

For comparison, at the same age, Brandon Jennings (who would have been a top college player btw, on the same level as Brandon Knight at the least) averaged 19 minutes while playing in Europe.

Maybe you don't understand this, but there is a difference between playing grown men and playing against college athletes whom the majority of which will never even be good enough to play in Europe. They're no more of a project than somebody like Knight at all. You've just seen USA college players play more, so you think they're more developed. Based on your thinking, Robert 'Tractor' Taylor should've been better than that prospect Dirk Nowitzki.

Oh and since you said my list is trash, I encourage you to go through that list and tell me which of them sucks and why. Looking forward to it.

Seriously you have far too much time on your hands. Good for you. You think those players are are worth argueing about? Shoot, keep fighting the good fight son. I maintain my stance, utter trash. If it bothers you so much that i have this opinion LULZ!!! In your mind your the winner. Yipity ****in harrah for you. I really dont care if you disagree me.

You care.

If Vesley is there at #12 it is a no brainer to take him, but with the #5-#6 I would say no. Vesley has continually been put in in the top five for a lot of mock drafts so yea if he is available at #12 I think you would have to take him.

Smack has moved up to #7 in Draft Express's Mock Draft and in ESPN's Lottery Mock Draft Simulator the default picks have him at #7. I am definitely on board with taking Smack with the #5 pick, unless we can get Irving or Williams I want Biyombo.

Regarding the #12 pick, I really have nobody who I really want yet. The obvious pick would be Jimmer, but I say no no no. Someone like Kawhi Leonard or Alec Burks would be great choices for the Jazz at #12. Actually now that I think about it my preferences assuming the Jazz don't move up are Bismack Biyombo at #5 and Kawhi Leonard/Alec Burks at #12.

Jimmer is going to cause some serious defensive problems and Kawhi Leonard doesn't move the meter for me in a good way at all (why is anyone supposed to be stoked about a PF with SF size that isn't a good shooter and has no real strength to his game?). Burks at 12 would be very nice, I think. I'd also take a look at Hamilton, but I don't know. This draft is as wing-weak as any since... ever?

I agree with hantlers there are some solid NBA players in Europe. Finding them is the hard part. No one had heard of ak prior to the jazz taking him.

I worry about Leonard also he can't shoot. Not what the jazz need. As much as I worry about what Jimmer brings I think his shooting would help. He is the perfect player to have on the court at the end of the game. If he commits to working on his defense then passing he is worthy of the 12th pick.

Right now I am leaning towards kanter at 5 followed closely by biyombo.just because I think kanter is a better fit next to favors.

From chad fords article this morning.

Utah Jazz (via the 24-58 NJ Nets)7.6 percent chance
The Nets and Kings tied for the fifth-worst record in the league. The NBA will hold a coin toss later this week to see which team gets that extra lottery combination and the right to draft fifth if neither team wins the

The Jazz received this pick from New Jersey in the Deron Williams trade and are obviously looking for a long-term replacement for him at the point. If they win it all, Irving is a no-brainer, and both Barnes and Williams fit needs as well. If the Jazz don't land any of them, I could see them trying to package their other pick (No. 12) together to try to move up a few more spots. Brandon Knight and Kemba Walker are other possible picks for them as is Valanciunas.

The 12 th pick he thinks the jazz go for fredette, no question. If hes off the board he thinks they look at reggie jackson from bc. This assuming they dont move up to grab irving or take kemba or knight at 5.

Brandon Knight has star potential, but he doesn't look like a guy that runs your team and that's what the Jazz need. He also looks every bit of a chucker if ever I've seen one, and unless he's making an absurd amount of his shots and/or using that to get better looks for team-mates, he might be the exact opposite of the player the Jazz need right now.

Kyrie Irving is the consensus #1 for a reason, and I don't think anyone else in this draft has the upside to lead a team to a championship more than he does, PG haters notwithstanding. Lottery gods, you owe us some **** for the cruel hand dealt in '79, last year (two teams leapfrogged), and '05.

With him in the middle a lot of our guys would suddenly look like great defenders. Stockton was a great defender when he had Eaton behind him. Not so much when Ostertag was in the paint.

I think I agree.

Am I reading this right? You're looking for payback from 1979? Magic is a free agent now. Should we just sign him up?
