Shape Ups

Yesterday, I was at the grocery store and I saw a lady who weighed about 400 lbs wearing Shape-ups while riding the motorized cart around the store.

She must not have read the instructions. They are probably hidden in one of her rolls.

To me this just looks like a clever way to market shoes with lifts.
There should be quite a market for these at the NBA combine. Slip on a pair and you're suddenly a solid 6'7" SF instead of a "tweener." Perhaps Cole Aldrich was wearing Shape Ups. Didn't he measure something like 2" taller in shoes than without?

Since nobody posted a serious response about the shoes, I will.

Shape Ups are only one of the so-called fitness shoes on the market. Champion makes one too but I forget what they call it.

I wear the MBTs - Masai Barefoot Technology shoes. They're the real deal, at least for me.

I don't know if the Skechers claims are true, but they're also a knockoff of MBTs anyway. The Champion shoes suck.

I've been wearing my MBTs for almost 5 years straight, and I think they're amazing. Mine are also combined with orthotics. I used to think I had a lower back problem; I don't. I just have one shorter leg and with orthotics in my shoes my back never hurts at all anymore, unless I'm not wearing my shoes. Your back muscles adjust to the different posture these shoes create, and switching shoes will make your back hurt again.

Have they made me skinnier or trimmer, or shaped my butt in the past 5 years? I don't know. It wasn't possible to clone myself as a control, with one of us wearing the shoes for 5 years and one of us not.

Post a before and after pick and we'll be the judge of that.

:D
