Ted Nugent's Military service

Only way I could see a draft being justified at this point is WW3 or America is invaded by foreign armies.

Other than that no.

I still don't think it would be necessary. If that were the case you would get more volunteers than needed.

Exactly, and I for one would much rather fight along side volunteers rather than people forced to fight. 1000 times out of 1000.

I've never been anything close to a military man but I would be apprehensive to fight next to a volunteer. In my xperience it has been those that are most apprehensive about fighting that are the toughest and most loyal SOBs.

Same thing goes with x soldiers. If I meet a dude and I don't know he was a soldier for quite a while then I know not to mess with him. The dude that "volunteers" that info shortly after hello is no threat.

Maybe I am naive but I would rather fight next to a well trained drafted man than a well trained volunteer.

Well, I wasn't a Marine or Army infantry. I worked on an aircraft carrier. I worked on the Navy's defensive weapon systems, RAM, CIWS, and NATO Sea Sparrow. There are no grunts on a warship. It is an organized place with military manners, decorum, discipline and the need to be able to sleep with over 20 people sleeping less than 6 ft from you and in a space with very possibly over 300 other people.

After doing two deployments on board a Navy ship I can tell you one thing, some dude doesn't know how to stand in the shower line the right way... that guy might accidentally fall off the ship. People need to mind their damn manners when they live on a Navy ship. I can't imagine teaching draftees their manners without too many dudes accidentally falling off the ship.

I thought Marines deployed with Navy task forces?

I don't disagree with any of this. But in the scenario I laid out I would not be opposed if a draft happened.

The Marines are a department of the Navy. So they have en exceptionally close relationship with the Navy. But a sailor is a sailor and a marine is a marine. Separate boot camps, separate types of jobs. The Marines can and do fulfill missions that have very little Navy involvement, and vice versa.

LMAO at the idiots who can't differentiate between going to Canada and ****ting in your pants for a week.

Bulletproof likes his adult diapers.

Oh, STFU, you friggin hippie. Marines SHUN the Navy connection. They claim they are the MEN'S department, when anyone brings up the department of the Navy thing.

Even a dumbass like poopy pants Teddy knows that.

Yeah, and we call them bullet sponges.

I still think the bottom line here is:
