Playoff Game 7: Jazz @ Clippers Sun 4/30/17 1:30 PM ABC

Dermie actually used to drink and play pinball at the pub I used to work at, he's actually a pretty nice bloke. Met Carey a couple of times he's a **** used to know the copper that arrested him for glassing that chick.

Ya heard that about both of them. Hated dermie when he was playing ... those epic grannies in the mid 80's

Watched the game again ... the reffing was ok other than derrick and Rudy were totally screwed. Jordan would foul out 3 times over if they called the same stuff on him

Just so impressed at the composure and mental fortitude we showed. And the testicular. Defensively we played with real force.

Warriors are really going to have to earn it, I'd expect to be reasonably competitive in most games.

According to this, we are 15th in the league in opponent's 3point percentage... we're gonna have to do a much better job in defending the 3 against GSW...

Otherwise the games won't be close.

Crazy how worthless Reddick and Jamaal were in this series. Both had moments and Redick had 1 good game but overall if I were a Clips fan I'd be disappointed.
Jingles had two games that he failed to score a point in, and I'm pretty ecstatic about his performance. Clips fans have to be pissed about how dirty he did Reddick.

I'm wicked curious about how Jingles performance against Redick and the other Clippers' guards will translate into the series with the Warriors. The Warriors are all bigger than Redick, which, I think, negates a lot of what Jingles had going for him in that match-up. But I wonder if we will choose not to put him on Durant or some of the Warriors bigger/longer players (like we have done), and let him face-guard Klay or Steph instead?

Or, should we go small and try him on Draymond?

I'd love to see Ingles do to Klay what he did to Reddick.

Also Favors needs to show up and give Green problems like he has sometimes done.

Favors, Hood and JJ need to get hot right now. Our bench needs to massively out perform theirs.

I like him on KD... Use his smarts to maintain good body position on KD and keep him out on the perimeter.

Definitely have to give major kudos to Favors. If he's back to his old form, or close to it, am I crazy to think we've actually got a chance against the Warriors? Just think if Gobert had had any sort of decent game today, combined with what favors did!
In order for the Jazz to compete with the Warriors, they're going to need Gobert and Favors to play together like they did after the Kanter trade. Combine that defensive dominance with Hayward's All Star ascension, the veteran influence of George Hill, Joe Jesus, Jingles and Fat Boris, and a positive contribution from Rodney Hood and Dante Exum. . . and they might compete with the "Super team". The one thing I know for certain is that the Jazz MUST dictate the tempo of the game. Force the Warriors into a grind-it-out series and they'll keep the games close. Don't get lulled into a shootout. Jazz can't compete at that pace. Force them to go bigger and slower than they want to.

I don't care who Jingles draws. . . just that he locks them out like he did Reddick. If I had to guess, I'd say he ends up guarding Klay because of how much Thompson moves off the ball. Don't want to wear out Hayward trying to keep up with that ****. Hayward can take on KD and Hill draws Steph. If the Jazz had another guy who can go off on the offensive end, then maybe Hayward would take Thompson. But if Hayward gets work down and struggles offensively the Jazz are in trouble. Thankfully, Gobert and Favors should both dominate the glass.

Would be really ******* nice if Joe Jesus outplays KD though. That might blow up the internet just a little. People won't shut up about it and it could get into the Warriors heads.

We need Ingles on Klay, *period*. After seeing what he did to JJ?

Klay often breaks us when Golden State goes on those crazy runs. Idgaf about Durant, let him drop as many as he can on us. Just keep steph and Klay in check

This is what I am thinking. Attack them through the players around Durant. Green, Thompson and Curry. The bench has to come up big as does Rudy. The 5 and the bench are the Jazz'z strengths in this matchup. Is Snyder can get good time out of Neto, Exum, Withey...

KD is too quick for Jingles. I think he will do more damage to the warriors on the other end, his two man play with Rudy could be pivotal to any hope the Jazz have for the series. what did he have last time they played them? 8 dimes? Rudy had how many flushes? Including that monster left hand tomahawk.

Agreed, after last night I am much more confident about where Favs is at. Force them to play big. We can't beat them at small ball. Let Draymond try to be more efficient with his jump shot than Rudy and Favors in the paint.

I'd put Ingles on Thompson, at least for the majority of his minutes. Thompson does a lot of the same stuff Redick does, just better and is bigger. Ingles still has enough length to both him and you dont have to worry too much about Thompson off the dribble. The difference between Klay and Redick is that Klay's size will let him get the shots off and Klay probably wont stop shooting. He didnt have a great series against the Blazers, but still shot it 17 times per game.

If Hayward picks up early fouls you probably want to switch him off KD and onto the other wing player.

I definitely get this perspective. I think it's probably what will happen. But because Thompson can still get his shot off, and is unlikely to go off the dribble, I think there should be a contingency plan for Ingles. I mean, closing out on the smaller player and then being well-positioned for his dribble is what he's doing really well right now. ...In other words, I'm not sure you're maximizing Ingles by putting him on Klay (not to mention the fact that this is what the Warriors are expecting). Curry is probably a nightmare, though. Dunno. The ****ing Warriors, doe. Assholes.
