Game 3 Thread: 6:30 PM MT Time

Down ten at the end of the first.

Oh please, Exum isn't going to change our offense slow starts. If the issue was "Curry scored a ton of points on us" then yeah, I can see an argument for Exum. But that wasnt the case. The case was our offense sucked but our defense was great. Exum isnt going to improve our offense.

This game Gobert was finally healthy and looked like a game changer on the court. We've got a great coach and two stars in Hayward and Gobert. If we add one more star to the core we'll be kind of hard to beat.. Like PG13 . Now we're not that far off from the 2nd best team in the NBA and with the internal development, better health and minor additions/subtractions we can improve. Do this or aggressively look for the 3rd star? A 3rd star will make us a contender but how good is contending when GSW's group of unselfish superstars that play great defense are there to stay for a while? Good luck with beating them.

I think he could make an impact on the offense that we're not seeing with Mack. Would love to see the attempt.

Exum came into the game and gave up 4 easy points by committing stupid fouls and took a contested 3 in transition. Of course he only played 3 minutes, he was a **** show.

Sounds kind of like the first three minutes of the game for Mack tbh

He played great d game 3...

Also had 5 assist

Ya white chocolate was talking about the series as a whole when posting his 31% shooting percentage (kinda not great really) and so was I when bringing up his defense and over dribbling.

I agree that he was pretty good last night and gave him props during the game.

And before anyone tells me how great Mack was...

- In the first 3 minutes he let Curry cut back door for a layup (after contesting his first shot granted)
- and then fouled Klay
- then a TO passing to Ingles

Seems like he should have been yanked to me - Dante style!

The only thing positive about our season ending tomorrow is it will be the last time we see Mack in a Jazz uniform.

Nice, holding Curry to 6/20 for 23 points only gets described as adequate.

This is the kind of LOL bias towards Exum and Mack that exist.

Curry missed some open looks he usually gets. I think Mack played pretty well defensively, though he gets more benefit of the doubt from officials it seems. I don't really have any complaints about his D last night.

unlike some dude here that spent the ENTIRE game talking about some Pokemon figure offering little to nothing but a slight annoyance of caps.

Hmm yes, I agree. Next time I'll stay out and you can read in peace the constant stream of very thought provoking and totally not toxic "high basketball IQ" talk that goes on in these forums game threads. Good call. Enjoy.

The Mack hate on this site has been goddamn ridiculous from Day 1. Grats to the tards around here who are going to see it through to the last day of the season.

Mack was an over dipped Oreo last night. He was great for about 15 minutes of playing time but we never got him out and he ended up hurting us down the stretch.

pretty much the entire team ran out of gas. Since Mack is on the team, then... he ran out of gas. The problem was depth, not Mack. Oh, and we're below the salary floor, so there's your answer to the depth problem. bai.

So Hayward sets an NBA record for made free throws in the playoffs. No question he has the tools. I loved when Mark Jackson said that Hayward needs to go out and show the Warriors that he's as good as their superstars. I agree. He has the tools and yet he's still not in that elite category. Our go-to guy down the stretch was able to continually get his shots off and continually short-arm his shots off the front iron. It's not like we have anybody else we can turn to either as GS has completely exposed Joe Johnson's lack of athleticism and shut down his go-to moves. Rodney Hood is still too green and needs to improve his handle. Ingles - same as Joe Johnson. George Hill - MIA. So it comes down to Hayward to create down the stretch and still that rap of "doesn't deliver in the clutch" raises it's conspicuously ugly head. For awhile the addition of Iso Joe was able to mitigate that deficiency. But Iso Joe is sadly past his prime and can't bail us out against a team this physical and this athletic. Hayward is the face of the team (along with Rudy); will he ever become that cold-hearted killer we know he's capable of being, when it matters most, in crunch time?
