A lot of pages in this thread. Not every post is going to be a detailed player breakdown. Most draft talk is now about what the mock drafts are saying and the rumor mill regarding which teams like what players.

Well i agree that Jackson has the potential to be the best player from this draft class just because he plays hard. He seems to work hard. He has great size for a wing and his jumper doesnt look broken.

I like fultz as number 1 because the game seems easy for him. Look at Hayward it took 3 years in the NBA before the game started to slow down for him. I think Fultz has that already.
 
OK I have to confess that this draft has more talent in the second round than any other draft I can remember. I wouldn't be surprised if someone draft in the second round this year plays on an all star team.

Yes a very deep draft class. With the new NBA rules of allowing 2 players to play in the dleague it is basically 17 players per squad now.. So this could be a year where a lot more college players are drafted in the 2nd round then the Euro draft and stash players that are normally picked.



I bet Homey was happy when they announced the new rule linking up the Gatorade league or whatever they decided to call it

One or two of these 2nd round wings will be very good. Josh Hart, Dennis Robinson, Dwayne Bacon, etc. could all be starter caliber players if things break right for them.

Jordan Bell is pretty much a ready Kenneth Faried right off the bat.

Cameron Oliver has a lot of potential if he'll work hard.

Devin Robinson? I thought that dude looked terrible in the scrimmages during the combine. I dont think he makes the NBA, or at least sticks in the NBA for more than a year or two.
 
I agree Jordan Bell has potential especially if he learned to shoot the 3 at a respectable rate think Paul Millsap

Justin Jackson from maryland has great measurements is he stays in could potential surprise some teams

Motley also could surprise

Kosta Mushidi could be the manu ginobili of this draft

Of course i love jonah bolden and with a good work ethic he could be a consistent starter

Look at PJ Dozier if he could hit the nba 3 pointer are a 35%+ clip and run and guard point guards he could be amazing at 6-6

Tacko Fall you cant teach 7-6 but he has to learn to play the game. The question is does he want to put in the effort.

I am a huge fan of marcus Keene. he is only 5-9 but he could easily be the isaiah thomas of this draft. I love the way he can score

Isaiah briscoe is a consistent jump shot away from being a solid nba player. I love his leadership and play. To bad he doesn't have athleticism
 
when it comes to the draft there are things that can make a player excel in the nba.

Size and length - no matter what you do you can not get taller or longer (except for those few who still grow a little)

Motor - is what they call it and to me that means players that come in and never stop working while on the court. Defense and offense

Work ethic - This is what players do off the court to become better on the court. This is hard to gauge because there are players that seem to put in the effort but dont improve. IE shooting a 1000 3 pointers with a broken shot. This is where Hayward excels as did the mailman. They continued to improve small parts of their games.

Competitive - This to me is huge because it is easy to become complacent with losing. These are the players that want the call in the 4th quarter. These are the players that want to beat the person they guard every game. If you look at Gobert he gets pissed when some one scores. He takes it personal. I will remember when Wiggins dunk on him and then Gobert came back later and stuffed another dunk attempt and gobert stood over him and flexed.

Desire - the is really tough to gauge but you want to be the best you can be. it is taking everyting above and pushing yourself. It is part of everything previously listed.

Basketball IQ - I dont care how much talent you have if you cant think the game of basketball you will never be successful. this is where Ingles has grown immensely.

Great find. Thank you for posting. Here are some amazing stats for everyone from the article:

- Evans put up a rather obscene 43.6 assist percentage and 3.3 steal rate. Numbers no other high-major college basketball player has put up since at least before 2009.

- He also guided Oklahoma State to the top team offensive efficiency rating in the country, despite being the program's only true NBA-level prospect. In the KenPom era, since 2002, only one other college player has managed the same feat: Chris Paul.

- The only other player in this draft who is on his level with how good he is in the pick-and-roll is Markelle Fultz.

He is 5'11 though but he does have a 6'6 wingspan and was a pretty good defender in college.

I see a handful of guys allstar+ potential this year, which is higher than a usual year. And Josh Jackson isnt one of them.
Fultz, Lonzo, Tatum, Monk, Smith, Diallo
And there are really good players who might not be franchise players but very good pieces to complement likes of Devin Booker, Embiid...
Josh Jackson, Fox, Isaac, Collins couple others...
Also i wouldnt sleep on Jawun Ewans, he is good. I would easily take him at 30.
 
to pull an abpg I have been talking about anjes pasecniks for a couple of months. I really like his mobility and his shot looks good from deep. The only thing I dont like is he will be too good for a back up.
