I'm probably going to watch the EuroBasket final four to make up for the conference finals. What time do those games come on?

I am really hoping that the Jazz take a big step forward for next season and it wouldn't hurt me if another 2-3 teams did as well.
I'm tired of the LeBron/GSW show.
Having say, GSW. Spurs, Jazz, Cavs, Wizards and Raptors as legit contenders would make things far more interesting. Enough of this A or B crap. Give me multiple choice.
IMHO artificial "make everything equal, i will cry if my favourite team loses" is also not good for the sport. Should the top runners (both sprinters and marathon runners) run little bit slower, because otherwise some person feelings are hurt? Or soccer clubs in Europe should not be as strong as legally possible? It is not the fault of Durant and Curry, that others are not dedicated enough. For example, what or who is preventing a la Exum or Gobert to practise three point shooting as long as they hit a three pointer almost everytime no matter where he is located on the court? The court and ball and rules are same for everybody; the only thing that NBA should get rid off is the star treatment. Although both Olympics and World Championships have shown, that it does not matter much. Other teams besides Team USA had plenty of time to prepare and hone skills but still lost. That's why I say we really need a hard cap going forward to spread the talent around a bit. If the cap is increased each year to reflect League's revenue I don't see why the Players Association wouldn't be supportive of it? It will also make a much better product - people are bored to death of these playoffs so far this year.
And to Cy's argument that "Oh it wouldn't be good if teams like OKC can't keep all the young talent they've groomed" - well tough. Talent needs to be spread around for the League to be more fun and interesting - period.

Olympiakos CSKA = 4:30 hours from now
Fenerbahce Real Madrid = 7:30 hours from now
I have no problem with the soft cap and max contracts, but I feel like the new Designated Player and other team extensions should have been even stronger for home teams to keep their stars. Utah and Indiana should have been able to offer clearly more money to Hayward and PG13 if they wanted to. By not doing it, I think that the league actually encourages guys to jump to other "more desirable" locations. I think that small market teams should have held out a little more to make sure those provisions had more teeth than just a single extra guaranteed year. Either higher percentages of increases for home teams, or (better yet) lower percentage increases that other teams could offer. That's why I say we really need a hard cap going forward to spread the talent around a bit. Hoping Teodosic shows up in a big way and justifies the Jazz interest in him.
I am saying that it is not the fault of the runner who can afford sneakers that some other runner does not have the same resources. Running the marathon with sneakers is not a right that is specified in the constitution or somewhere similar. I would also like take a part in some competition - showed the organisers edit the rules so that i can also have chance of winning? Whether it is the running or tour around the world with a yacht.Your analogy doesn't quite fit.
In the NBA, teams in big cities like New York, LA, etc, have a lot more money to spend due to their geographical location because of the spending power of their fan base. Therefore the teams are more likely to be able to afford the Luxury Tax, meaning the Luxury Tax rule clearly favors those big market teams vs small market teams that cannot afford to pay the Tax.
The hard cap, on the other hand, would impact all teams equally as their financial status do not come into play like the Luxury tax does.
Going back to your runner analogy, it would be like some runners running in sneakers and some runners running barefoot. With everything else being equal, which runners do you think would have a better chance at winning a marathon?

Another problem is that NBA is not a league, more like a franchise. Every team needs other teams and all have to be friends with each other. Not like Karpov vs Kasparov.
Check the normal season standings btw.
Its like Utah being champions if fenerbahce wins
The biggest takeaway from this series is that Boston is going to 100% trade IT next year.
