Ok i'm getting this set up early, to be revisited in the first week of July so all the hysterical whiny bitches who think he's leaving can come repent. See you in 6 weeks.

I have to admit, I'm a little uneasy here.

Didn't like Hayward's answers or his body language at the end of the season. Like when they asked him about the crowd chanting his name, he said that it was really cool, and something he'd take with him. That's just a weird answer if you're planning on coming back. Maybe he was just being really careful about being non-committal, just in case, but it just didn't feel quite right.

do we bump this thread when he really does so the ones that thought he'd stay can repent?

Lol, so what are the jazz going to offer Hayward other than gobert and him getting drafted here when the celtics have horford, thomas, brown, smart, and possibly (maybe and likely according to espn) butler, george, or porzingas?

You think he's going to pass that team up when he's already said he doesn't care about money? Not today son

I have thought for quite some time that Hayward would leave. I really hope he doesn't, but there are just so many reasons not to. Boston is good because of coaching and a solid cast of glorified role players. Outside of IT, nobody is a star even Horford. Hayward goes to Boston and immediately compliments the roster in more of a star role next to IT. Horford and the others compliment those 2 so well.

What we need to hope for is Boston trading #1 for Butler. If that happens, not sure why Hayward would or could go there. Doubt Boston trades #1 for Butler when they have a good chance of having #1 and Hayward. Good time to be a Celtics fan yet again...

You talking bout possiblies and maybes for boston? (George, Butler, porz)

Well how about the jazz offer him a lineup of
Hill
Hayward
Butler/george
Favors/porz
Gobert.

The Celtics have major frontcourt/rebounding issues. What does Hayward do to solve that other than eat up 30M+ of cap space and therefore monetarily hinder them from being able to go out and address it?

Plus Thomas, Bradley, Smart and Olynuk are going to be FA after next year.
Goodluck being able to keep them all.

Maybe more like this one:

Curry/Hill
Hayward/Green
Butler/George
Antetokounmpo/Favors
Gobert/Porz

I'll get a sig ready for all you unrealistic homers out there that apparently know Hayward on a personal level, know what he wants in his life, and probably live in a castle worth 500 billion.

what i thought porz was unrealistic!

thats what people told me

There's no repentance that will be had. If he re-signs then everyone goes from "he won't re-sign" to "even with Hayward we don't get out of the second round and are mediocre fodder for the top teams and now we have him locked in at $31M/yr and no cap flexibility and we don't have a true star."

Lace up your Nikes, everyone. Get your shrouds. I'll be coming around to pass out the cyanide.

I can't wait for July when all the worry and talk about Hayward leaving can be put to it's death. It's fairly easy to figure out that he's staying. We know winning is important to him. Of the teams that have potential cap space to offer Hayward a good contract and a winning situation you have Utah, Boston and maybe Miami. Despite Riley being a master at convincing free agents to join his teams I don't see a way in hell he sells Hayward on Miami over Utah or Boston as a better chance to win. That leaves Utah and Boston. Does Boston provide a SIGNIFICANTLY better chance to win than the Jazz going forward? No. Not at all. Boston's future is up in the air. Do the picks work out? Is IT there long-term? Are they able to trade for a star to add to IT/Hayward/Horford, and if they do are they giving up too much to do it? If they trade for a star is it enough for Hayward to join them and beat Cle/GSW? There's a lot of questions. Just like there is for the Jazz going forward. Hayward going to Boston doesn't guarantee a better situation than staying with Utah who has a young star in Gobert and a young improving team. So why would he leave? On top of that, does anyone see the Jazz panicking? Did they shop Hayward on the trade block at any point? Did they make any preemptive moves just in case Hayward leaves? Nope. I just don't see him leaving. And I'm tired of the discussion. Can't wait for G-Time to re-sign and put this to an end.

There's not much talk about Miami but there's no way he thinks back on years of losing in Utah and then goes to Miami.
