The Gordon Hayward is leaving repentance thread ..

There's not much talk about Miami but there's no way he thinks back on years of losing in Utah and then goes to Miami.

Hayward going to Boston doesn't guarantee a better situation than staying with Utah who has a young star in Gobert and a young improving team. So why would he leave? On top of that, does anyone see the Jazz panicking? Did they shop Hayward on the trade block at any point? Did they make any preemptive moves just in case Hayward leaves? Nope. I just don't see him leaving. And I'm tired of the discussion. Can't wait for G-Time to re-sign and put this to an end.

What Boston has that Utah does not is the ability to attract free agents.

They can change the makeup of their team more quickly than the Jazz can.

The more I think about it (don't laugh), Hayward --> LA Lakers....

If Boston signs Hayward they are over the cap. So there will be very little ability to atract any free agent. Next year they have to re-sign IT and will be over the luxury tax. Then they will have to start re-signing all these rookies. They have less roster flexibility long-term than the Jazz.

Lakers would have to dump salaries to even approach Hayward with a decent offer. Even if they could open room for a max offer, Hayward wants to win. The Lakers aren't winning anything for years. Even with Hayward.

They will attract vets who are willing to take minimum for chance to win a ring
