Lakers taking him at 2

Yeah I youtube'd him too. Seems like an athletic 3/4 who can't shoot. According to DX he broke out 2 years ago at U19 but they haven't talked about him since. Scored super efficiently this year.
Yep... his 3p % is real bad...
But:

Hey! Keep your Magic Hands off our guy!
I was a Celtics fan because my cousins were lakers fans, so Magic was always the enemy. But I admit I enjoyed watching him play. The nickname, the smile, the charisma and the game. He had it all. The current generation of players could learn a few things from Magic.
Pretty much all his highlights are either transition offense/defense or slashing to the rim, mixed in with some nice passes in half-court. His jump-shot doesnt look terrible from the shots he has made in the videos.
I'm intrigued though. I'd draft him in the 2nd round. He has appears to have a lot of tools.

That's is from the tournament DX wrote about when they saw him.
If they think they can fix his shot, he's definitely draftable.
Been some discussion on Trey Lyles on the board... just in terms of roster construction it would be tough to try and develop him alongside another prospect. I'd hate to give up on the guy, but his shooting this year may be closer to what he is than his shooting his rookie year.
So here is the question... would you rather continue the Trey Lyles experience or would you rather develop one of the combo forwards projected in the 20-40 range... Kuzma, Semi, Lydon, Justin Jackson (maryland), jonah bolden, etc.
Passing on one of these guys because we think Lyles may develop might prove more costly than just wasting a pick on him.
Has anyone else here mention Jonathan Jeanne?
He would be a GREAT under study for Gobert and become a permanent backup center for us. If he becomes the next Gobert we can always trade him for another prospect later as well.

Pass... He's more Ajinca than Gobert... I would like some variation at center too... rather have Bell or Bam to move their feet and do the Tristan Thompson.
I don't know why people are so excited about the guy... for every Gobert there are 10 Edy Tavares, Bebe, Ajinca types.
I'd rather get Pasecniks as a back-up 5. Jean is an interesting project though.
Eh? He's wayyy more agile and mobile than Ajinca.
