**** man. First, I know the simple solution is to cry harder. Extremely.

But, truth be told, I am a little bored. So, a new thread.

I am not excited about next year like I am about every forthcoming season. Once Williams was traded, who I loved to watch play, when healthy, I lost a lot of interest in this team.

I mean, I want to be excited, because the Jazz are my team, but like Main Source used to say, I can't fake the funk.

Im hoping the emergence of the kid can get me excited again. I also hope Favors does something, anything next year.

That said, here are the players I would not trade and the players I would:

Would not trade:
None

Would trade:
All of them

Love it. There's no tweaking. It's a rebuild - with some good pieces. Plus draft picks this year and the next - which means we have tons of homework to do. I love the draft. This will be fun. We all knew the team wasn't really a contender anyway, so better to root for potential rather than watch a pretty good team under achieve.

I can agree with this.

Definitely a rebuild. I think we need shooters, more athletic players, and more length. Thats what the best teams in the league have.

You've got to enjoy watching a new young team come together and rise through the ranks.....assuming it does.

The AK/Okur/DWill Jazz weren't going to get any further.

That is what we have in Favors and Hayward (length and shooter). I am looking forward to just seeing what the rookies (and sophs) can do. I am almost thinking of this next season as an American Idol season. Entertaining, people to root for and some to dislike, and in the end someone comes out on top in some way that is really meaningless, but it was fun anyway.

Who knows they may put a team out there that surprises some teams.

Sadly, I think that is the best we can hope for in the next few years, but really, all things considered, that isn't too bad.

This.

It was actually hardest for me the last few years because it was clear that the team as constructed would never get it done. Not just that they wouldn't win a title, but that they couldn't win a title. For all the years of John and Karl (most of them, anyway) I felt like at any moment they would do it. I was younger then, so maybe it was just my angelic innocence which has since faded, but I always believed they could do it given the right circumstances. With Okur, Boozer, AK and Deron I just knew they couldn't do it. If a championship was handed to them on a silver platter I think they would have found a way to **** it up. I think Deron has championship potential, but from the way it sounds like he was acting in the locker room it's clear it wasn't going to happen here.

Meanwhile, it'll be fun watching Boozer screw up the playoffs for the Bulls.

Neither Favors nor Hayward should be available unless something ridiculous came around. Otherwise, I agree with Viny.

I'm loving it - you don't know how good Hayward will be, you don't know how good Favors will be; but you definitely see positive signs.

Will Harris fit in? Will the draft picks fit in? Will AK stay?

It's like in high school or college and you're in the beginning of a relationship and you don't quite know how things will turn out. She may turn out to be a loser (e.g. the 04-05 season) season or she may turn out to be a fantastic **** (e.g. the 06-07 season) or she may dump your *** (e.g. 99 lockout) and you spend your nights googling internet porn instead or you end up dating her ugly sister (e.g. hockey)

Nah, bro. I completely understand the situation we're in. Completely. I wasn't into rebuilding again, I guess. I've been through this before. Im not going anywhere, this is my team for the long haul. I just dont feel any connection to the team.

Lulz!... exceptional post, lad! (exempli gratia, cool story bro!)

Not me. If we re-sign AK for 6M or more per season and three or more years, I'm outta here. No way we should re-sign that *******.

Then draft his replacement Vesely without any psychological baggage and with a bigger, stronger, less-injury-prone body.

I need to spread the rep love around before giving it to you again. But I think you said it perfect. Its going to be a fun team to watch, with a few players to be very excited about.

Repped and agreed. I think that the true core, Utah now has. Will be better, then, the combo of Dwill, Boozer, Memo. Utah just has too many assets not to build a contending team. And it does sound like Dwill did have a pretty bad attitude. Plus, it always seemed like he hated Hayward!
